I need somewhere where I can watch the LSU football games here in Iraq. Here is the thing though, we have limited bandwith and I cant download anything. If I do, it will shut down or slow the server for the rest of the dudes. Is there anywhere I can go to watch a streaming version that wont use bandwith, or anything? TIA

iPhone, maybe? Or any phone tethering might do it. You can use the 3G network instead of the connection there.

Dude, I was at Balad during football season last year and It sucked. The MWR generally has crappy bandwidth and a time limit to use both provided computers as well as laptops. You can however purchase wireless (at least on balad you could). Outside of that and I hate to say it but AFN is probably going to be your best bet. What branch are you in? Stay safe.

ESPN360 now allows you to associate your espn.com login with an ISP that offers espn360. Find someone you know that can get espn360 at their house and give them your login info to sync it with their isp. As far as cbs games, I don't know.

ETA, sorry I missed the whole point you made that you can't stream anything with your current options.

I missed the whole 06 season in Iraq and never could get any of the streaming links to work. Sometimes they would start but then there would be a break or hiccup in the connection that crashed it. There just wasn't enough bandwidth. Hopefully for your sake it's better now. AFN did carry about half of the games FWIW.

I was in Iraq for the 07 season. I would set my alarm in the middle of the night to watch the games.

Internet will never be fast enough there to watch a game live. You could follow along on yahoo or a site like that.

I was lucky enough to be on a camp with antennas in the trailer area's. I bought a splitter and a bunch of coax so I could watch AFN in my trailer. Not as good as ESPN, but they play the major games and fortunately LSU is usually considered a major game. I still remember other LSU fans knocking on my door to find out the Florida game score. Good luck and I hope it works out for you.
