Despite all bullshite with Les Miles..........the guy HAS NEVER lost to an unranked non conference opponent in the regular season.
These historical things don't mean much in this situation. Until January, he had never lost to a non-conference team, period. He had never lost a bowl. Until 2008, he had never won less than 11 games. Until 2007, he had never lost a November game.
The last two years have seen a lot of "nevers" happen with Les Miles and LSU.

Anyone saying 'will happen' at this point is giving themselves way too much credit. Fall practices haven't even begun yet.
Way to early to tell what kind of season we're going to have. For some folks, negativity is a knee-jerk reaction. They just can't help themselves.

WV has one 5 star player Noel Devine.
He is fast. KR, Slot. He is what we wished Trindon would be, what we hope Murphy will be, what we dream for Russell Shepard, Noel Devine, already is.

THE GATOR BOWL and the SEC WEST DON'T MIX
Ignorant analysis...........
How and the frick can a sports writer not understand bowl tie ins?
The Gator Bowl has tie-ins from the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), Big 12 Conference, and Big East Conferences, as well as independent Notre Dame. They have the right to the third pick of a team from the ACC, and have the option to offer the other spot to the second pick from the Big East, the fourth pick from the Big 12, or Notre Dame.

Actually someone said gator bowl has SEC tie in.

LSU will go 7-6 or 8-5 this year because one game against an inferior opponent will be decided in the last few seconds

Rosetta knows more than Flyin Tighas does about bowl tie-ins.
That's from a story this month in Florida Today.

The Gator Bowl will feature teams from the SEC and the Big Ten beginning with the 2010 college football season. The game has been elevated in stature with the addition of the SEC and gives the state of Florida three Big Ten-SEC matchups on New Year's Day: Gator Bowl (Jacksonville), Capital One Bowl (Orlando) and Outback Bowl (Tampa).

I don't think this guys picks are too bad.
WVU will have a stronger defense than you realize this year. Bill Stewart was always a defensive guy first, and they return a bunch of starters, 9 in total, and should have one of the better defenses in the entire country. Top 25 for sure.
And the offense with Noel Devine could be explosive. It's DEFINITELY not a give-me. Still, it would be an upset.
All the other games make sense too. He obviously put some thought into his predictions.

Perhaps ... but I DON"T' LSU as the sixth pick for a bowl behind even the chick filet...

The Gator would likely have the No. 6 pick in the SEC, behind the BCS, Capital One, Outback/Cotton (shared picks) and
Chick-fil-A.
If the Gator moves from CBS to ESPN or ESPN2, the window of exclusivity for the Capital One would be gone. Both games have been played on New Year's Day in the same time slot.
Yes I admit that my previous psot was based on the fact that I wasn't aware of the recent agreement between the gator and the SEC...
Still disagree the argument LSU will get the 6th spot for bowl selection from the SEC...
Please... correct me if I am wrong after the bowl selection show.....

It's the games other than WVU that show how flawed his thought process is.

It's never stupid to pick the home team in a game between comparable SEC teams.
LSU and Auburn are not comparable this season.
People are thinking way too highly of Auburn.
