If he comes back...+1000 yards...and a first round draft pick after next season!
Posted on 1/11/12 at 2:57 pm to RobbBobb
if that's how you want it to read, but I don't know anyone who would use that language to describe a decision - maybe "it's all up to me" could cast some ambiguity, but not "it's all on me"

it would not be a smart move for either Shep or Randle to declare. Randle would go 3rd round at best and Shep may not even get drafted

He did have close to 1000 yards on the season. Could get more if he returns but it really is up to him.

The ray guy trophy is sitting in our trophy case.
Does that compute?
Nope. Brad Wing is hands down the better punter. The only reason Wing wasn't a Ray Guy finalist (and likely winner) is because he didn't punt the ball enough times to qualify for the award. He shouldn't be penalized because he played on a team with an offense (until this past Monday) that didn't allow him on to the field to punt with any regularity.
If your punter was so great, how come I didn't see him listed on any all-american lists?

If he looks good for workouts and runs like I think he will he is gonna go early in the draft. RR is a physical specimen. I think scouts and NFL teams are smart enough to figure out how run oriented LSU's team was. Randle in an Okie State offense would tear it up

Hopefully Mett can talk him into staying

do you think he'd be staying had we won?
No. But when people were saying Randle would stay due to unfinished business, I didn't believe that for a second.

Randle a 3rd round pick! What! That would be a steal. If he goes to the Saints Brees would make look like Colston.
Posted on 1/11/12 at 3:06 pm to nicholastiger
they probaly just wanna start catching some passes
Posted on 1/11/12 at 3:06 pm to peopleschamp
I hope the Saints pick him up. Colston contract is up. He would have a Julio or AJ Green type year with Brees as his qb
Posted on 1/11/12 at 3:06 pm to peopleschamp
He is already been told 2nd round
Randle said the pass rush was the problem in MNC game and wasnt' sure if Lee would have made a difference.

sure. but if he comes back and Mett is as good as everyone thinks he's going to be he could move up to 1st round and alot more money

He needs to come back. No reason for him to leave.
Every reason for him to leave. History has shown that coming back for his senior year will do him no good under Miles.
Only two receivers that upped their stocks were Bowe and Davis, and Bowe just because he had the lasik surgery moreso than anything.
Every other single receiver under Miles has improved their stock by coming back and several have fallen entirely off the board by coming back.
As a selfish LSU fan, I'd love for him to come back and help this team. As a fan that can look at what is likely best for a player, I think he has no reason to come back and should go.

It's a tough decision to make.
If someone would have told me when I was a college junior that they were going to pay me real well to leave college early and work a job that I was pretty good at doing, that I really like, only work real hard for about 6 months a year and only work part time the rest of the year, and have plenty of time to go back to school and get my degree, I would have had to seriously think about it.
For some guys, they just might want to go to work rather than stay in school. Sometimes it's the right choice and sometimes it's not. It all depends on the individual.
