The guy went 9 full innings. There were rumors in the bleachers (epic I know) that he went over 125 pitches. Did he?

If he continues to pitch into the 120-130's is there a chance this will affect his arm somehow?

With that said, great win tonight. Enjoyed it. The guy was a beast on the mound.

This time of the year (playoff time), I say let him go. Earlier in the year, you have a point.

If LSU advances to the Supers, and play a Friday-Sunday super regional, Ranaudo will have to pitch on one day fewer rest than he is used to. The only other time that happened this year he had a little bit of a rough outing against Mississippi State, and I doubt he threw 129 pitches the week before.

Some pitchers can go that far and not hurt themselves. With the jugs gun available now you can use his velocity to decide if his arm is getting tied. Tied arms tend to get hurt. I think, and some one should correct me on that, he was still hitting 91 or 92 when he came out. But 129 pitches is a lot for most.

It's a lot, but he's not going to pitch again until next Friday, and it's not as if he's throwing this many pitches every week. He's thrown this many once all season (I think against Auburn), and he usually keeps it in the 100-110 range. But with that much rest in between, he should be fine.

Is there an "r" on your keyboard?

Sure, it's a stretch, but he was dominating. Old school would shrug this off as nothing. Let's go old school.

The arguement could be made had the Umpire's strike zone had been consistent he wouldnt have had to throw that many

The fact is that had the umpire been able to pick up Ranaudo's curve ball he wouldnt have had to throw that many

fixed it

Dont some supers start on Fri while others start on Sat for espn to cover them all. When will ours start? If it is Sat then rest will be the same.

K-State's AJ Morris (14-1) threw 144 pitches tonight at the Houston Regional, Kansas State beat top-seeded Rice 7-6

That's why I said "if LSU gets a friday-sunday super regional."
