Arch and Texas have looked really bad this season too. And they scored and moved the ball better than we did even if it was late in the game when they started to.

Everyone acknowledges how Florida has a very good defense and especially has a good defensive line but that doesn't nullify the fact that we only scored 13 offensive points on a day where we had 5 interceptions.

I was probably a little more disappointed in the defense, as I did not think a D2 transfer would eat us up like that
I'll give the defense a little grace since they seemed to be on the field for most of the game. Plus that particular D2 QB played on a national championship team at Ferris, so he's not exactly a scrub.

Personally, before the season started we ALL thought that our OL was going to be the biggest deficiency for the 2025 team, and guess what - we were all correct on that score.

I'm not a negatiger, but I'd really like to see some creative gameplanning to take advantage of a three-man rush that we KNOW will be coming. Something we can run with the personnel and OC that we have right now.

I said it in another thread - maybe speed sweeps and quick tunnel screens to the outside after our WR's have cleared out the first line of defenders. That seemed to work well early on. Nuss isn't going to run, and our OL probably won't be able to hold up and get any push on run blocking anywhere between the tackles against the defenses we have left.

So I'm sacrificing a few chickens (sorry, Chicken) to the great voodoo gods that Sloan pulls something creative out for the rest of the season. Knowing exactly how the next few teams we face will play us on defense HAS to give us some kind of advantage, right?

Right?
