Gotta be on the taping of LSU Sports Journal this AM to talk about Old Alex Box project and I'm trying to get a fact straight so I can discuss....but want to be dead on balls accurate and can't find the answer.

With the tearing down of Alex Box, is this the 1st athletic facility LSU has torn down completely since inception in 1860? I know that Softball is out of commission but still standing. I'm thinking yes, but can't find the answer so far to be 100%.

Also, I've tried to find this out as well, think I'm right on this fact....LSU will be/is the first to completely tear down a facility and offer contents to fans in NCAA. Not 100% and know that the "chief tinky winky's" did some bleacher sales back a few years ago, but no whole-house.

Any info appreciated. Want to have my shaat straight if I get the chance to throw that out.

Does the golf course count as a "facility"?

What about the original track facility, if ya wanna call it that. Seems Ive seen some old pictures that show the "original" track facility, if ya wanna call it that, on the west side of Nicholson Dr. This would have been way before they built the new Bernie Moore stadium.

The ole Huey P Long swim facility hasnt been torn down.......but its close.....

As far as a previous use goes, the cow barn, Parker, was the former basketball facility (where Maravich played) and the Cox building was the former indoor field house.

Are the racquetball courts still there by the Cox ??
