How many legit pitchers do they have? Seems like some out of the bullpen or "okay" caliber, but is that from lack of experience at this level?

6 really high level pitchers.

Another 4-5 solid options.

We have plenty of pitching, but it's a midweek game, on a week we play two midweeks (hopefully). We are going to throw the bottom of the barrel with a lead when we can.

Beck, Fontenot and Hill are as legit as they come. Hilliard is good. Storz is good with the potential to be great. Everyone else still has to prove themselves. Kaminer has shown glimpses of what he could be. Hasty has fantastic stuff but needs to gain some control. Aaron George is much the same.

Our bullpen is a strength which is why the Baylor game was so frustrating. If you have a lead and turn it over to this bullpen you should win the game.

top To bottom it’s one of the better pitching staffs we’ve had...and it’s still pretty young.

The pitching staff is talented enough for LSU to win the whole thing. They are dominant at the top and deep enough to beat anyone in a tournament setting. They have 4 guys that would have a weekend starting spot in just about any rotation in the country. 2 of those guys have a chance to be top ten overall picks next year. The bullpen is solid enough and will only get better assuming they stay healthy. I wouldn’t worry about pitching. It’s the hitting and defense that will determine how far this team goes.
