Like we noted earlier, when you 'Bamer Boyz acquire some hardware this decade, get back with us. 'Til then
Saban promised us, just as he did you guys that our day is coming.

Yep, we saw how your day arrived in the 4th Quarter last Saturday eve when that highly touted Saban D gave up 14 pts and a spot in the BCSNCG.
When and if 'Bamer's day finally arrives, get back with us. 'Til then, it's just more

Problem for tigers was just that, they were "watching".
And didnt give up 50+.

Speaking of watching ... 'Bamer Boyz been watching for what? 'Bout a decade and a half or so? ... and you're going to be watching yet again come January 8th when UF and Tebow take the field in the BCSNCG.
As noted, you acquire bragging rights by actually winning some hardware in this decade, something you 'Bamer Boyz ain't done yet.
Get back to us when you do. 'Til then

Miles should be ashamed of heaping it all on his shoulders when he had a capable enough QB on the sideline.

I can't agree with that
We'll just have to agree on disagreeing there.
Good post...but I still think JJ's got an "it" that will get better with time.
Are you certain that you aren't a sportswriter?

re: Question about Lee (Posted on 12/8 at 4:52 p.m. to secscout)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I think regardless of his play he was the QB in the game and should have been supported. He's just a freshman and people were booing him like he was a 5th year senior. His play was awful but the way the fans treated him was much worse.
-------------------------------------------------
Wait a minute. Wasn't Tommy Hodson a RF too when he first played. He had very good football sense and we had a great year with him.

who the frick is the consistant performer?
Let me rephrase... No gaffes in execution. I see he's a gun slinger. But at time he seems to just say fk it, whatever happens, happens.
I still want to know who this mystery "consistant performer" is that we should throw our support behind.

JJ is superior in every aspect of the game
No way. Lee is a better passer and will be a way better passer. JJ brings athleticism to the position which I like but I actually know football and realize the flashy player isn't always the best for the job. I personally don't have an opinion on who should be the starter this year because neither has shown he's better than the other. Sure JJ can run, but hes not very accurate and his release is slightly slow. Sure Lee has a strong arm, but he makes bad decisions and isn't as mobile. They both have their pros and their cons. To say one is vastly superior to the other at the this point is crazy.

To say that JL is more accurate is to completely ignore the fact that he is erratic. Sure, JL might be accurate at times, but without question in the Ole Miss game against the same opponent, JJ was more accurate than JL was. I'm not just speaking in terms of statistics, there was a noticable difference once JJ took over in terms of how accurately thrown the passes were. He may have a higher completion percentage on the year, but I don't think leading the SEC in INTs on the 7th most attempts is a real good sign that Lee is especially accurate. Either that or Lee is overestimating his accuracy, which might even be worse.

But why do you guys feel that JL is due the same type of support when he's performed the way that he's performed.
I simply support him because he is in the fire. If he doesn't prove to be good enough in the end, then I'll simply be happy he did his best as a Tiger and let us move on. I simply think that those who believe all the evidence is in on the kid are incorrect.
As for the "more consistent performer", I also hope he proves to be a great player for LSU and will support him if he continues to start. I simply think that those who believe all the evidence is in on him are ALSO incorrect.

ive been called JL's cousin, dad, brother, LM, and JL himself for saying the same thing.

Good point Nomo, but most of Lee INTs were mental mistakes and not him making bad throws. Not saying he didn't make bad throws because we all know he did. Those bad throws are a products of him not stepping into his throws and his poor footwork. All these problems are correctable. I am not a big fan of completion percentage determining who the most accurate passer is, but Lee having made way more throws and still completing his passes at 10% higher than Jeffersons pretty much shows hes more accurate.

we beat down the freshman qb and talk about which one is better but we completely miss the reason why things went the way it did. the play calling was terrible and could be read a mile away by any well coached defense. both of these qb's were highly recruited and rightfully so because their both damn good and will get better as time goes on. fla. and ga. scored 50 points ous due to defense coaching problems we couldn't stop anybody this year so before we beat down the players see if its really them thats the problem.

quote:"forgiveness"? frick, man; Josh Booty got more forgiveness than Jarrett Lee has from this board . . .
Ive never seen this type of tiger forgiveness before
. . . okay, maybe not Josh Booty. But definitely Marcus Randall, both the 2002 and 2004 varieties. And that's saying a lot.
