You honestly don't think there won't be some who accuse LSU brass of being racist if we don't hire Frank Wilson after a good showing as interim?
Truth is, you cant stand it if LSU would hire a black coach. You don't want a black man in charge. Nobody else is coming up with these dumbass scenarios, and i know for a fact a good portion of the forum thinks like you, but you seem obsessed with it.
I never once thought about Frank being the head coach, nor have i offered up any black coaches in my top coach candidates. However, if Frank has LSU looking like LSU should look with this talent, i would 100% be in favor of him getting a shot. We signed Ed O the same way, and he didn't win a game of relevance that year. He was also a former failed HC himself. Unlike Ed O though, Frank is LSU to the bone. He wouldn't do LSU like Ed O did when he won that natty. Frank was also around when LSU was a hard nosed football team. Also with Frank, all we would have to do is replace a few offensive coaches and maybe the S&C coach.
So if he wins out and gets us to 9-3, i say HELL YES!

Mel Tucker
Tucker is not from Louisiana, was never the interim HC at LSU, coached one season at LSU back in 2000. There is nothing similar about the situations.

Again, the situations are not similar and if Wilson wins out, he should get an interview to state his case before we move on.
