Skyler Green didn't know the plays his first year on campus. Saban told Jimbo to teach him one play and then run that play.
Not even close to the same situation.

Harris didn't need to know the entire playbook. He needed enough to make himself dangerous. Then let the running game and the zone-read help him fake it until he made it.
Last year, Harris' inability to grasp the playbook is a failure of Les Miles and Cam Cameron's doing. Period.
That was my thing. Teach him 5 plays and let him actually run them during games. When he had those 5 plays then maybe add 5 more. There were plenty opportunities last year to get Harris reps.

So if they redshirted Harris like most true freshman qbs do, would that be a failure too?

It didn't help him any last year.

Skyler Green was a wide receiver, not a QB. When a QB turns the wrong way on a handoff, that is a problem. In the SEC, you can't just tell a starting QB "run as fast as you can in a straight line" like I'm sure Green was told if that story has any merit.

It won't hurt. Considering they can't work out with the actual coaches, what is wrong with getting some training in somewhere else?
If we were seeing pictures of him actually lounging at the beach or at parties, the threads would be the same level or retardedness, but in the other direction.

What kind of workouts? If I was his college QB coach, I wouldn't want different voices whispering ideas into the kid's head.

If it was Kiffin, you might have a point.

You're right. No one in the history of collegiate athletics has improved from their freshman year to their sophomore year.

If he was the eptiome of technique, you'd be right. You can always improve. And throwing the ball around is better than NOT throwing the ball around.

Footwork, accuracy, pocket presence...nah I doubt those will help him. Complete waste of time

Posted on 5/14/15 at 12:41 pm to LSUTil_iDie
I swear, people wold probably be happier if he was in the hospital or something.

And apparently Andrew Luck, Jameis Winston, Cam Newton, Bryce Petty, Donovan Mcnabb, Ben Roethlisberger, the 49ers, etc, have wasted their time also.
