We only have two more weeks of knuckleheads like me starting topics that have nothing to do with games....anything to discuss Tiger football....so bear with me.

If we are assuming Jayden Daniels is the starter, what will the subsequent years look like?

I am going to guess he doesn't go pro and we have:

2023 - Daniels
2024 - Howard
2025 - Howard
2026 Collins or someone not even on the roster today.

Barring injuries, etc., Nuss is never a full time starter for LSU.

I have no horse in the race....this isn't a preference...just a wild un-insider guess.

Highly unlikely Daniels stays another year no matter what.

Altered to match my thoughts on the subject.

2024 - Nuss or Howard
2025 - Howard or collins if howard gets drafted

Daniels will leave after this year. The 2023 qb battle will determine if Nuss ever plays football for LSU

I presume the assumption is that he will be going pro. Is he that highly regarded a pro prospect? I think I read early this year was that one of the reasons he transferred here was to improve his potential draft position.

I think he is, yeah.

He's got good size (not weight, but he's 6'3), reports are he's about 200lbs now, and he's absolutely electric on the move. I've seen some passes on highlights (not worried about score or outcome, but the pass itself): he's got a good arm, and a quick release.
From some of the highlights, looks like he is fluid throwing while moving, too.

Even if you project that to NFL, and not a lot (any) designed runs, that's still a big plus. He can elude the blitz or a blown assignment, and turn a negative into a big play downfield.
What's the big thing with passing- time, right? Need time to let the WR get open. If he can flow in the backfield, he can extend that time a lot; and if he still has the arm to get the ball there, that's big for the offense.

Nobody is going to blanket Boutte for 3+ seconds.
