Why do you believe the defense looked gassed in the 4th?
Mississippi State wears you out. Thank goodness they only got 27 minutes to do it and not 33. Why didn't they get this opportunity? RUNNING GAME.

Why do you believe all of those elite skill position players signed with LSU?
None of my business.

Do you actually believe LSU can beat AU,UA and OleMiss with this game plan?
No. Let's kill ourselves.

All of this assumes, without any evidence whatsoever, that passing would not have scored enough points to make clock control irrelevant in the final minutes.
Every negatiger's point assumes something of equal evidence. Every single one.

Most folks on here thibking a lot of the fan base wants "moar passing" is pretty misled. Speaking for myself, I just want to see some kind of creativity, unpredictability, and balance to the offense.

This is all we want. But hey, MSU caught a delay of game and missed their field goal so frick us, LSU offense is fine and no one should even expect a college offense to generate more than 21 points and look Oregon's flashy offense lost so there.

I wasn't a fan of the play calling last night. Thought we should have given BH a chance to throw more.

But.... that's not my big gripe. I thought it was MSST short passing game success in the 2nd half. Receivers were wide open for easy 7-10 yds each reception. It was frustrating to see this.

If you see the defense stack the box it means you have to start throwing the ball.
Nevermind the fact that we got 5.3 ypc vs a loaded box. You HAVE to throw it, or else you can't win. Right?

U can't be serious, or u can be and just not know football. You have to get first downs in order to keep your defense off the field to rest up, period. He didn't have to go "Air Raid" but a few more passing attempts on 1st or 2nd downs would not have hurt clock control game strategies at all

Not a lot of film on Harris for Auburn. This either a good thin or a bad thing. I wonder what the rantards think?

I think we play better defenses before the end of the year that will NOT let this stat stay the same.

I'm pumped we got the W, but I am nervous that this is the same 8-3 season we have gotten used to, as very little has seemed to change.

Again, we were good enough to beat State with this type of play, but unlikely to go 11-0 or 10-1 and make the SEC Championship with this style of offense. Just my opinion

Replace two short runs with incomplete passes, and Mississippi State another minute on the clock at the end. A good thing?

You are not much of an odds guy are you? You must suck at black jack.

There are certain odds in football that any coach or player should just know. Running into a 10 man front or a couple of short screens to the HB. Which one you think has better odds?

WE didn't pass more cause we have a Coach that doesn't know that the forward pass is legal. And 2nd of all there is enough MILES PUMPERS that he know's that he can lose 2 to 3 Games and his job is safe. Mediocrity is here to stay. IT's a shame CAUSE this team is LOADED. IF Meyer would be the coach HERE National Champs, BOOK IT. But we have enough in our fan base that would rather lose with Miles than win with anyone else and until there's enough pressure on him things will not change

Odds of winning when you average 5+ ypc and win the clock?

Those same stats you are throwing in my face, I will use them to prove my point. If you check the game stats by quarters, you will see a heavy percentage of the 5+ YPC came when BH was able to throw the ball successfully and open up lanes. Late In the second half not so much

He got extremely lucky again, don't act as though he didn't.It would be different if LSU didn't have the skill players to open it up but they obviously do,he just refuses to utilize them.

5.07 YPA is good enough to beat State if they misfire on a 2 Point Conversion late.

5.07 YPA is not good enough to win championships. Not Divisional. Not overall. Certainly not National. I'm not arguing because I know we both agree.

I will ask you a question against my better judgement after your antics last week and your needless antpile kicking today: When is the appropriate time to break out of this hyper risk averse offensive perspective with respect to the passing game? I know you don't think we can throw it 14-16 times a game and win the way this team and roster is capable of winning.

So when is the time? Against the best on our schedule, when will we be comfortable?

I'm not arguing with you. I have less than zero interest in it.

I am interested-however-in what you think the future progression of our alleged balanced offense has in store for it and what you think is the best way forward to achieving it.

Yards per carry and time of possession don't win ball games. Points win ball games. How many points did we score after they shut the passing game down? 7 points in 3 quarters of football.

5.3 ypc in 4q against a loaded box.
