Think about this. Assume you are the Dubach wiz kid and you are a Tech fan. Your team gets beat 58-10 in 2007. It gets beat 24-16 in 2009.

Wouldn't you make this same observation?

Again, as an LSU fan, are you really taking time out of your day to shite talk LA Tech? Posts like this only support Dubach wiz kid's argument.

Most coaches leave for more money if they get the chance. Chris Petersen (Boise St) is the only one I can think of who has turned down more money.

It will depend on if Dooley enjoys having total control of the athletic department or if he would rather chase dollars.

I think I've got smartass figured out. He is a Tech student trying to justify why he supports LSU over Tech.

I like Tech & wish you well in the future. It's good to see state kids succeed.I think it would be hard for Dooley not to take a shot at something bigger if it came along. It's in his bloodline.

True. He definitely has an SEC mentality about the game.

The fact that he is AD also may keep him around a little longer. I hope so. I think he will eventually turn things around there if he stays

Well...You're 0 for 3 so far...I'm not a Tech Student...

I'm merely responding to the Penis Envy out there...I hear it from my brother (ex Tech) and I laugh then as I'm laughing now. My cousin played football at Tech back in the day when they could brag....He was Roger Carr...Mike Barber, Roland Harper, Pat Tilley, Billy Rickman, ALL good....I've always respected Tech..But as of late, they need to just try to get Bowl Eligible in the WAC and quit slamming LSU's "direction" of their program

However,

lol, there weren't many people who actually thought we would lose the game, even when tech was winning at halftime. We dominated the 2nd half of that game

I don't think that applies anymore. Penis for penis, we are much more pleasing.

Offense:
10 pts in the 1st half and 14 in the 2nd half.

Defense:
13 pts in the 1st half and 3 in the 2nd half.

It was a close game that came down to an onside kick. Oh yeah I forgot that 95% of y'all were gone by halftime.

Tech had more rushing yards and passing yards and penalty yards.

The difference in the game was that LSU had 3 TDs and 1 FG and Tech had 3 FGs and 1 TD.

Didn't La Tech win a bowl game last year? Isn't UL-Lafayette on the verge of a bowl by beating K-State a few weeks back? Isn't UL-Monroe improved since two years ago (they beat BAMA recently and we haven't)? Isn't Tulane? STILL TULANE!!! Point is this - Since Saban's national championship, LSU seems to have recruited ELITE "out of state'' players (Tolliver, Shepherd, Peterson, LEE, etc.. ), which has allowed the Louisiana Techs and UL-Lafayette's of the world to get a Louisiana player they normally wouldn't - prior to Saban. LSU has been able to recruit nationally with two two crystal balls (three total national championships) and ONE DAY - it may bite them in the arse. That's the price of success. RECRUIT LOUISIANA FIRST and these things don't happen.

This is a lesson Tulane must learn if they want to turn their program around.

That's not happening. Those guys are still going out of state. I think if Tech can get these guys, we can have two Top 25 teams in this state.

please

you can laugh all you want, but we held your offense to 64 yards in the 2nd half before we switched to prevent defense and 96 with the last drive. We didn't play well, but there weren't many people, at least around me, that were worried about losing the game.

Yalls running back is the 2nd best we've played all season. I've been impressed everytime I've watched him play this season.

To say LSU is on the way down right now is juvenile, we have a very good chance at a top 5 finish (would be the 4th one in the last 5 years) as well as another top 5 recruiting class

The spread is going to make it way more possible for smaller schools to be successful IMO. Playmakers will get the ball in space and every program has a couple of playmakers.

LA Tech has 70 players on the 105-player roster from Louisiana including four starters from Baton Rouge, one of which is defensive end Mass Hitt who is the brother of LSU starting left guard Lyle Hitt. The two will be going head up against each other much of the game. Most, if not all, of the 70 Louisiana players grew up hoping some day to be playing for the LSU Tigers and will be sky high for the game. I counted 14 players on the LA Tech roster that LSU showed interest in.

I think LSU's D-Line did a good job of getting their hands up and knocking down passes at the LOS in the 2nd half. Our QB kind of throws side-arm. He missed an open receiver on a crucial 3rd and 4 one time.

I didn't really see much difference in the 1st half and 2nd half except that Porter and Livas weren't playing as much.

Come on! It is La Tech in the middle of nowhere, no airport(yes teams have to pass by ULM in Monroe to get to Ruston), and facilities that are worse than West Monroe High School's. Hell Tech only has ONE practice field and that is in the track, which is a joke as well.

Just like ULL fans, Tech fans THINK they are bigtime, but the fact of the matter is that Tech IS nothing more than a pumped up D 1-AA program.
