Alabama beats LSU and goes on to lose to Florida in Atlanta. Alabama, LSU, and Florida each have one loss. Ohio State and Clemson remain undefeated. Or Ohio State drops one to Michigan if you prefer.

Discuss who gets in and why.

Let’s wait to see how it actually plays out than discuss what it should be.

Ohio State and Clemson are no-brainers.

Florida gets in as the 1-loss SEC champ.

Then you have 12-1 Alabama and 11-1 LSU with Alabama winning the head to head.

But what is the Big 12 and Pac 12 situations? If Oklahoma and Oregon are both 1-loss conference champs then I think one of them get in over non-champ Alabama. The only time the committee let Alabama backdoor in was when there were multiple 2-loss conf champs.

So your playoff scenario is:
Ohio State
Clemson
Florida
Oklahoma/Oregon/Alabama depending on number of losses and conf championships

Sorry but that's the realistic approach based on past committee decisions.

If you are asking about SEC teams. 1 team gets in in your scenario and that’s FLORIDA.
