They fought and scrapped through some major adversity this season. We could have folded up shop over and over and over again.
But this team never quit. They kept their fight under tremendous doubt and uncertainty. This season may have been a bust but it had a lot of bright spots and it still looks that we could be back in the Playoff hunt in a few years.
We lost 14 starters. Then another 4 opted out.
out of the 22 projected starters for this season we only had 11 left by seasons end after injuries and opt outs.
I've been watching college ball for about 25 years and I've never seen a team have to throw this absurd amount of freshmen into the fire their first year. All of them at positions where they could easily get exposed.
I'm proud of the few leaders and veterans we had who played all season. I'm impressed with the poise that these young freshmen played with this year.
Lastly, I'm grateful that "O" somehow kept the wheels on the wagon when it looked like every week they where gonna fall off.
We moved the ball on Bama, we defeated a very good Florida Team on their home field as a 20+ point underdog and we somehow outscored a very game Ole Miss team in a downpour.
While this team may go down in history as one of the worst LSU teams in recent memory they actually overachieved if you think about it.
Having to replace 14 starters, then you add 5 opt outs on top of that. Then the injuries to key players down the stretch like Stingley and Chasen Hines I'll take 5 wins as a Victory this year.
It was a rough ride for sure. But towards the end these young bucks gave showed a lot of fight and gave the fans something to be hopeful for in the future.

As much as this season sucked I’m sad it’s over. Really enjoyed watching these boys become men and fight their asses off for their brothers.

O has some faults. The only thing we know ,for sure,by now is that he wont let his teams give up. It was obvious when we quit losing games back to back. It was obvious when we quit losing every game after bama.
