Prevent defense

Has "soft" coverage EVER worked on any level? "Let's give up 10 yard chunks! They'll run out of time before they get to score!" I remember the Saints doing it a lot, and last night I felt like I did when I was a kid with the Saints prevent D on TV. LSU pulled out the prevent D TWICE last night, and TWICE gave up touchdowns. Why is the prevent philosophy not relegated to the dustbin of football history like the wishbone offense??

This thread makes me think the Tiger Rant should have a countdown clock like we do before the season, but this one being that cliche 24 hour rule after losses so we don't have to repeat the same damn thread over and over.

Kinda like Louisiana teams using prevent defenses over and over? Maybe we don't fricking repeat it enough.

We beat them the entire game in almost every statistical category except for sacks and rushing yards. I don't understand why the Defensive play calling was changed at the end of the game, our defense played for 19 minutes before the last drive.

Maybe if it gets posted a hundred times someone will tell les and chavis to stop...or probably not
