To add on to what you're saying/showing us Whitefoot (and I agree completely despite my above post)...
In addition to not seeing the field, DE isn't using his eyes effectively to move DBs.
For example, on the second picture where DW is in the flat and Sullivan is crossing, DB is in no mans land peeking in to see where to go. Well, give him somewhere to go. Make the decision for him by looking off to DW.
His head should move to or be on his outlet (Williams) to draw somebody there and then back to sullivan just prior to release.
DE seems to lock into into a part of the field. And somebody above said it... there's an overload and decoys. DE knows that's where he should be looking. Being slow on reads, and a less-than-effective OL, he's relying on anticipation instead of reading the field. He should be looking off and THEN return to the overload/decoy area.

Agree. I too think he as with any freshmen come certain liabilities. And I would be the first to say that if DE were getting it done Brennan would have no business being out there. However, I think it is evident that Brennan is capable to do some things that DE is not. MB has only been in this offense for about eight weeks and on campus for only about 12 weeks. There are going to be some mistakes made with him in the game. Although I do think we should be playing him in non-critical positions throughout these games. Pretty much I agree with everywhere he has been put in so far but disagree with where he was been taken out. I believe if he stays in the Troy game he would have settled down and done just as good if not better than DE to give us a chance to win the game. At this point the $10,000 question is at what point does O start to play him and all the freshmen for the future? If we loose to AU, OM and AL does Brennan start and play out the season?
