re: Predict Future Year LSU Football Defeats Alabama?

This year, 2018. The talent is there and if it will finally be a wide open offense like they are saying it will be they will cause Alabama's defense problems. LSU always matches Alabama's talent every season on the field, Alabama may be deeper because of Nick Saban and winning the ships and everybody wanting to go there now because of that, but LSU still gets a shite load of talent because they're LSU. They will and should have an outstanding D this year, the offense just needs to finally get it done, and there is too much talent every season not to. They just need to figure out who the QB will be and get him ready, but there is a shite load of talent at WR. I am not concerned about RB because those guys can run, especially Helaire who should breakout this season, they just need game experience.

Can we worry about beating Miami? Who gives a flying frick about the Alabama game in April? I just can't understand this obsession. Yes, they're a good team and yes you're gonna have to beat them to win the West, but LSU has to win a LOT of games before then in order to win the West too.
I see the Miami game as a bigger threat to our season away from the SEC because of the inexperience in some positions.
However, even if we were to lose to Miami, we can definitely still be in the Championship Games by winning SEC west, and there is a possibility...
even though not a probability.

I think we will somehow manage to beat them this year after losing to Miami and Auburn.
We will end the season with +/- 4 losses, but break the streak of loses to Bama.
If you guys think we are coming back in some blaze of glory and going undefeated and beating bama to go on and win a natty, you have another thing coming.
Sadly, I have a feeling when we finally break this streak it will be during a season where we have a few loses and it won't make a difference that we finally "beat bama"

I’ll be optimistic and say 2020. Thinking saban retires before then and LSU will have a real coach before then as well.

LSU has the talent to go unbeaten every season, but always trip up on games every year, I mean look at last season. The only game they really weren't in was Miss St, but I mean no one expected that because they dominate these people. The Troy game was a nightmare that they always play down to these people's level and finally got caught this past season, but that's on Orgeron. But the other losses they were in all those games and had a chance like every season, but blow these games because they get out coached.

Same could be said for 75% of the teams in the SEC every single year. Thats why they play the game, baw.

I don't agree with that. Who is this 75% you speak of??

Of course and I think LSU has the talent to do all of that. However, I just can't wrap my head around worrying about the 8th game of the season or whatever it is now with all of the inexperience on offense.
I mean, Alabama won the national championship last year and LSU beat 2 teams with winning records. I think there are many levels in between those two that LSU needs to worry about before trying to fight the champ.

Hypothetical, baw. Im saying the SEC is always loaded with talent and so many teams could say they slipped up in a game or two which was the difference in their season.
LSU is going on 6 straight seasons with 3+ losses. Its not like we have been a play or two away from going undefeated every year. We have talent, other SEC teams have talent, but we haven't had the total package. Same can be said about other SEC teams (Aside from Alabama most recently).

In the Conan O'Brien show dude's voice...In the yeaaaaar 3000
Hard to predict since we have no clue what our offense will look like. Our D should be up to the task though the next couple of years.

Yeah, the SEC is loaded with talent, but only a few of them besides Alabama have been on LSU's level. The Florida's, Georgia's and that's because of the new coach now, Auburn and that's about it. That's not 75% like you are saying, I would put all the rest on a even level. Every now and then one of the other schools (Ole Miss, Miss St, AtM, Missouri) will have a decent season to go to a bowl.

Trust me, it will make a difference to fans whenever LSU finally beats Bama again even if they have 3-4 losses.

Can you elaborate on this level you think LSU has been on? We have not exactly been the creme de la creme of the SEC recently.
SEC Ranking / Record:
2012 - T4th / 10-3 Lost Bowl
2013 - T5th / 10-3 Won Bowl
2014 - T6th / 8-5 Lost Bowl
2015 - T3rd / 9-3 Won Bowl
2016 - T3rd / 8-4 Won Bowl
2017 - 4th / 9-4 Lost Bowl
All I am saying is that teams in the SEC can all say they slipped up in a few games. Alabama is the exception as of late. Teams like LSU, AU, UF, MSU, UGA, OM, TAMU have great talent but for one reason or another lose games - keeping them from taking that next step.

And that's the problem with obsession that the fan base has with Bama. People act as if they'd rather beat Bama and have 4 losses vs Bama being the only loss.

Agreed 1000%. I was referring to Playoff / Natty hopes.
