and will be all world this up comin season, he shut down both Green and J Jones, very impressive! With that said, I was disappointed in how he took the rest of the season off by not takin Ole Miss' WR seriously as well as others. I hope he has adjusted his work habit for this time around.

He shut down 2 of the best and got burned by a couple of receivers that were less talented. I believe he suffers from Laron Landry syndrome.

He wasn't slacking off, he was trying to make plays and was not completely focused on his man

If you mean being played out of position by Greg Blatche this past season for the Skins and continually lined up 25 yards off the ball... yes...otherwise what are you talking about?

He got beat in the ole miss game on a RB pass, that happens to the best of the best at some point or another, as a CB he is involved in run support also.

Not playing within the scheme of the defense. Thinking that he is more impt than the team. They both are easy to move out of position b/c they are trying to make plays they aren't suppose to make. He is the best db in the country, just not the smartest, yet.

sorry, disagree. All he talked about before the beginning of the season was Green and Jones because he felt those 2 got the better of him the previous year. And the job he did on those 2 were phenomenal because they couldn't catch a thing while he was on them, he was draped all over them because he brought his A game, the TD catches they made was only when he was not covering them.

but the point I'm trying to make is you have to bring your A game every game, Shays for Ole Miss is talented, but not like Jones and Green, but he caught the ball all over the place because PP wasn't playin as hard, simple, I think this time around he dominates completely.

Watch it closely, Chad Jones was the one they knew would bite! I think PP was getting there late but was helping CJ out and it made him look the fool, IMO.

I remember at one point in the Georgia game Green burnt PP. PP was lucky the ball was thrown 15 yards out of reach.

beginning of the game basically, and that was it, after that he was completely shutdown, except when PP went out and they threw to him with Hawkins perfectly covered on him, but let Green out jump him for the TD catch.

I can't believe people are bashing a future top 10 pick and the best corner in the SEC, if not the nation. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Best in the nation baby, hands down, up, whatever! After those jobs on to future NFL TOP 10 receivers I was convinced, just want him to play hard all the time, DOMINATE!

or.....maybe it's because he played man to man defense on Jones and Green and we played zone almost the whole game vs Ole Miss. We played mostly zone against Ole Miss because of Dex. Which just backfired because he still got his, but our terrible zone defense allowed Hodge to get his as well.

I was disappointed in this because I had talked a lot of trash to Ole Miss fans about PP shutting down Hodge.

took the words right outta my mouth!
the best corners get beat at one time or another.
peterson will be a future top 5 pick imo!

we musta saw a different game, a lot of times he was on him hauling him down after tha catch, he just didn't take the guy as serious as Green and Jones, that's all there is to it, his lesson is learned, he will play eveyone no matter who it is the same from here on out, I know he will.

LSU had some zone packages called yes, but not near what you are makin it out to be, Snead itsn't that fearsome a QB.

just reread it, and they def didn't play a lot of zone because of a 160lb. RB I thought you were talkin about the QB, well if that was the case as you say, it sill didn't work because McClux burned them all day.

so what was purpose of this thread? You have basically said that PP didn't give a shite the rest of the season. Didn't he block a kick and return if for a TD that game?

most of the catches he gave up against Ole Miss were in front of him. We had him playing 10 yards of the line and they would throw it underneath, and he would make the tackle. That is on the scheme, not the player.
