The fact that you posted this and actually got upvotes tells us just how stupid our fanbase is. As if alleva and Lsu have any control over this game, or the Florida game, for that matter.

People blowing off this storm in Htown now because it's not raining much now really don't have any common sense or logic. Houston is getting a short reprieve at the expense of places like Baytown because this storm stalled earlier than expected.
Saturday wasn't the day they expected the highest issues. It will be through Tuesday and Wednesday when this storm breaks up into a massive downpour over the state.
It's not a wostcase scenario by any means thankfully but this is likely just the calm before the storm for HTown.
Originally from Morgan City La. , I've lived in Houston since 1968. Let me give you some common sense and logic.
1. The storm isn't going to backtrack into the gulf then plunge upward into Houston. The longer it remains over land the weaker it will become.
2. NONE of the bayous in the city are overflowing. In fact the over exaggerated news reporters have had a change in their delivery of what is actually happening. They appear disappointed.
3.The storm surge changed from 4-6 feet last night to 1-2 feet today.
4. What all this means is even with two days of heavy rainfall looming, the city's bayous will be able to handle the runoff.
Bookmark me. NO WAY THE LSU GAME GETS CANCELLED UNLESS A TORNADO DESTROYS THE STADIUM. Water will not prevent the LSU vs BYU game from being played. And I will be there.

The 1pm advisory still has it more NW than original projections. Keep this trend going & we should be in good shape.

So your contention is the AD and one of the schools in the game have no actual say?

We live on the NW side of Houston and have been in the dry slot between bands for most of the day so has downtown. There was no way for the weatherman or models to predict that. We've been extremely fortunate. You go 30 miles east of us and they've been getting hammered for 6 hrs straight of torrential downpours. However, we still have a very long way to go with this storm

Good ole' fake azz jim Cantori let his tongue slip twice, stating his disappointment (Unfortunately, I mean fortunately we didn't get the eye wall....) WTF?? Btw, He lives in Suburb Atl (Marietta) 500k-1 million +. Basically, He don't give a shite if it floods 2-3 ft.

The damage isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I was having nightmares back to my Katrina days on the Ms Coast

He really doesn't. All he can do is make suggestion as was done with UF. It's the host's decision

Kajunman you da man. I'm hopping on this mans train and I'm going to pack my bag for my trip to Houston right now with full confidence that the game will be played in Houston as scheduled.

I really hope this game goes ahead in Houston. I have 4 of my mates from Australia visiting for this game

Are both of the Houston airports open?
