You can make this argument every year. The team improved incrementally on offense, primarily OL run blocking and the RBs. QB play was still very inconsistent, but the "average" level of play was a little better. Defense was incrementally better, but that's okay considering the "night and day" difference from 2008 to 2009.

Bottom line - LSU won 10 games and is going to the Cotton Bowl. The QB position remains the glaring weakness on the team, with OL pass blocking a second, and WR play third (these things are a system and these three particularly go hand-in-hand-in-hand.)

The team never quit, even once, in a game, and even in both losses (one of which will end up having been against the Heisman*-led, undefeated*, BCS Champion* Auburn Tigers), we had the ball, at, or very near, the end of the game, with a chance to either win or prolong both of them.

That's improvement over 2008 and 2009. If you can't or won't accept that, maybe LSU isn't the team for you.

I am not going to try to be the voice of reason here. I'll just say you have way too much time on your hands. I thought that if we had only 5 losses this year, I wouldn't have been surprised. You can't win them all. You can't be a pwerhouse each and every year.

I have a friend who is a fan and hates Miles, truly hates the coach, and no amount of talk will change his mind. During one of the games this year Peterson goes back to field a punt. Soehow he misjudges the punt, and my friend then says, "Nothing but coahcing, Miles shouldn't even have him in the game."

You should be happy with 10 wins. You should be happy with Les. Just because LSU had more a championship defense and special teams and had the best QB on the sideline sid OK. And because poor coaching kept them out of a BCS bowl you should be happy going to the Cotton Bowl, it was a good Bowl 20 years ago. Be happy with a SECCG every 4 or 5 years.
