So to clarify:

most successful players will have an agent handling NIL stuff, right? By successful, I mean:
1) highly regarded recruits, guys probably 3 stars and above
2) productive players and starters at lower levels; G5, FCS, etc.
3) practically any player on the P4 level

Do we have unofficial "NIL guys" who reach out to agents, and say something like "hey, your guy at Tennessee/Boise/Southeastern etc has our attention. He'd be a good fit at LSU, maybe even start, and we'd be willing to offer X amount for him to come";
and if said player is interested, they hit the portal?

Like, Bob is a safety at Boise, he's a starter and in the playoffs. But he's making 200k, and our guys let it be known he can make 500K here?
Or Joe is at Tennessee, getting good money but he's part of a package instead of regular starter, we let him know he can make about the same but the spot is more open here?
Or same guy at Tenn, his people reach out to ours, looking to get a starting shot for the same amount?
Unofficially, of course.

Officially, they hit the portal and test the market before we make contact.

That's where we're REALLY at, and LSU happens to be one of the elite few with both resources/NIL, and a marketable reputation of winning. Right?
