-You don't need to interview the players (waves hand like Obi Wan).

You think it is okay for victims and witnesses to claim they were assualted and for the police to refuse to even QUESTION the suspects?

If the suspects have retained an Attorney the police can request all they want...but the suspects don't have to answer anything.

The police don't refuse to question, the suspects refuse!!

This could screw the team in the long run. IF JJ is later found guilty after starting the Oregon game, this can seriously screw up the game preps. I've been pro-JJ as the incumbant QB but I think it's in the best interest of the team to start JL to ensure continuity.

Just a hypothetical, but does it matter who paid off the injured parties if something like that was done?

Freaking Donte Stalworth ran over and killed somebody while driving drunk at 9 am and only got 30 days in jail.

It is just how the judicial system works .....

It could be for many reasons.

1) Perhaps the Students declined to be voluntarily interviewed and the police ar enot prepared to more to arrest, yet.

2) Perhaps the "victims" declined to press charges or recanted (for whatever reason).

The Lawyer has advised them to let him do the talking. This isnt over but it will drag on for awhile. Miles will need to step up, i hope he benches the players accused until he feels certain they wernt involed.

Or perhaps the players attorneys threatened to press charges on the students involved, which based on what transpired they have every right to do. It was a friggin bar fight, charges always get dropped because neither side wants to have to go to court.

LSU mafia at work. Nothin to see here folks we got a game in a week here!

the ways it's always been. unless the "victims" are seriously hurt, cooler heads prevail. hell, the guys that got hurt are probably big LSU fans and don't want to mess the team up. with their medical expenses paid and some cash for pain and suffering why cause a stink. it was, as i have previously stated, just a bar fight. as common as the week-end in my day. bunch of young men hopped up on alcohol and testorone. as american as apple pie.

I think you mean that you assumed that he would be. Most folks assumed he would be. I just hadn't heard a damn thing to confirm it.
