Hope its half empty this weekend.

Gene, I hear you but may I ask in your opinion how would we know if there was actually a situation where it wasn't a giant pharmaceutical conspiracy? Like how would things look different in an alternate reality where there actually was a deadly pandemic that was killing 1500 Americans every day but we were dealing with a huge chunk of the country who didn't buy it and were refusing the vaccine?

Look..the real problem is that Government inherently thinks citizens are too stupid to know what’s good or bad for them..and that government is the answer. I look around and see no one dying in my neighborhood from Covid..no one at a 500+ facility I work at dying..no one from numerous large facilities that friends and family work dying. The average age of death “with” Covid is 80…same as average age of death “without” Covid.

I guarantee you if people were seeing healthy, not -so -old friends, co-workers, neighbors, and family dropping dead…most everyone would be lining up for the jab. It really isn’t that scary.

Well, the 650,000 deaths in the USA alone should give us a clue it’s a deadly virus,
you're buying the 650k number? You do realize that hospitals have a monetary incentive to list Covid as the cause of death - they get more money from the gov't. Many old folks that died were unhealthy, with multiple co-morbidities. Covid may have pushed them over the edge, but Covid is very, very small risk to the vast majority of people.

As with everything in life -- follow the money.

I'll play your game- At what point does everyone get there freedom back again? You're telling me people are just going to have to wear a mask everywhere for the rest of time? you're going to have to show your vax papers everywhere you go? That's not America and if you think that's okay then you can go frick youself.

I am vaxxed BTW but refuse to show my "Papers" to anyone for entry anywhere. It's none of their fricking business.

Well look, dv freak, don't loop me into some narrative of your image of a boogey man liberal. That's not me. No I'm NOT telling you any of that stuff. And believe it or not I too do not want to live in a world where I have to wear a mask the rest of my life.

This is kind of the whole point I'm trying to make, everyone gets their freedom back when we stop this spread because enough people are frickin vaccinated and the thing is mutating in ways that don't affect the vast majority of the public. Eventually, one way or another, this thing WILL come to an end. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

But then no one will give a shite about your vax card or wearing masks. This is the thing I'm trying to say... no. one. likes. the masks.

Preach- Everyone in my field think this whole thing is an absolute joke but no one is laughing because the charade is seriously effecting peoples lives.

All I know is it’s a 100 million dollar business these days so those in charge should think carefully in their decision making.

exactly.

I know of only 1 person that died of Covid. He was my uncle, and was upper 70s with a heart condition.

The people that are dying are old, unhealthy folks. Still very sad, of course, but this virus is a tiny risk to the vast majority of the population.

Time to get back to normal, and I mean 100% normal.

Sure man, whatever. Like I said, I'm not really normally political. I just want my life back, without the cost of human life.

this is sickeningly scary that you believe something like this.

And who decides when the "spread is stopped" and we can "get our freedom back? Politicans? Seriously?

ok, then let's shut down all motor vehicle traffic, because that kills 40,000 Americans every year and injuries many times more.

Let's also lockdown the country over seasonal flu, because that kills 40-80,000 Americans every year.

Life has risks, and the world can't shut down over them.

I’m just responding to you because your post was post number 69 in this thread.

I’m immature and needed the laugh

Dude- it's not the governments responsibility to decide when people get there freedom back. If people want to live their life in fear and shut up in the house all day, that is A OK with me. It's their choice. Now if a private business wants to put these mandates into place.. that's fine I just won't go. I think it's sad that they'd make that decision though because this whole thing obviously hurts revenue and i'm tired of seeing good/fun places get shut down in this city that's already kind of a shite hole.

If you want to go in their place of business actually it is their business. Otherwise you can stay home where it is nobody's business but your own.

This is according to the CDC: estimates per year... 2017-2018 ... 61,000 2018-2019 ... 34,000 2019-2020 ... 22,000
And that's without shutdowns and mask mandates. Corona is 600,000+ with shutdowns and mask mandates. Some will never understand.

That's fine- I get to save money! and the private business gets to go out of business like many, many others during this scamdemic.

I really think the guy you were responding to was saying that he understands it’s their business and that he’s just not gonna give them his business if they force people to prove they’ve been jabbed. Maybe I’m wrong.

That still would not stop the spread. Isn’t that what this show is supposed to be about?
