Yeah, I'm aware of that. I guess I'm lol'ing at how anyone can watch him and consider him a "passer" of any repute. He's a chunker, if that.
Well, then we agree. So, LSU has turned a not so great passing QB into a below average running QB when we have legit running QBs on the roster. I don't need to quote Shep's credentials here i don't think.

Beside the fact that you are clearly upset that the guy you liked more didn't play as much, what's the point of this thread?

I always wondered why the rant let people spew unneeded crap against JJ. Now I know. The admins are biased against the guy.

This. It's pathetic.

I guess you can't read. It's spelled out plain as day. That you don't like it is not my fault. Attack me instead of the substance? You rock!

Yup, there's no place for that here.

As his supporters have told us over and over, JJ is not a running QB. He was a pocket passer in HS that has been transformed into a read/option QB. If he's not going to play the roll of a pocket passer, here's who's better at what he does:

Randle
Magee
Ware
Shep

That's the for sures. There may be others.

I noticed that Lee is not on this list

Aw geez. JJ looked ok last night, no need to harp on his performance. He is what he is and experimenting with him last night really didn't hurt.

This...

ETA: Please tell me you don't seriously think that Randle, Magee, Ware, and Shep would all be better QBs than JJ

I get your point, but your timing is a bit off. Miles was trying to make JJ into something else last night.

he's arguing that they could all play the running/ option QB role better than Jordan can. which is well... an interesting line of thinking.

You are talking about 2 running backs and 2 wide receivers being better than our starting QB. I think only one of those 4 has ever thrown a pass at this level, and it was a halfback pass from Ware.

Sure, they all ran QB at HS, but JJ was 13-0 and a pocket passing stud in HS and has obviously struggled to develop that part of his game going forward.

So really, there's no telling what would happen if they were in there now. Also, the fact that JJ can throw it at least well enough to make defenses honor it is part of the reason he's able to be a threat as a runner. None of those guys could consistently throw the ball at this level.. even to the level of JJ's consistency, which is spotty, at best.

eta: one of our 2 starting QBs, I should say.

You just don't follow the sport that closely. Totally understandable.

I think this went over your head Dan. Not just you, a lot of people. If what he is saying is true, he has a point. You may just disagree with what he is trying to say, but I don't think you get it.

If you REALLY think any of those great players you mentioned are better at QB than JJ , you should be ignored from here on out. Thanks for playing.

You're getting close. This is key to the thread.

Reasonably minds can differ on this.

Roger gets it. Look, I may be wrong, but it's a crazy notion.
