I am saying Ott has potential to be a good pitcher however he has proven nothing yet. If you would listen to some of you guys you would think Ott is Eric Gagne reincarnated. Most of your assertions are based off of three innings in one game vs Texas. He tries to overpower people with a mediocre fastball and I think if he keeps doing that he will be exposed. As of now he has proven nothing and is overrated. I attribute most of his success last season to Micah and the championship quality lineup we had.

I don't recall Ott trying to overpower anyone with his average fastball. His slider was by far his best pitch and what he depended on more than anything. I don't think he will duplicate last year's success, but did you even watch any games?

I'm wondering what he based his opinion on. He doesn't respond to the stats, already said he doesn't go to practice, and said Mainieri feeds him pre-recorded answeres which means he has no inside info

He also left out the part about thinking Coleman was "highly overrated"

And his changeup, both pitches are devestating out pitches...which in turn makes his fastball even better

I think this guy is making stuff up now

When have I not responded to stats? I said all your stats on Ott's dominance come from 3 innings if one game. For the thousandth time yes I think Louis was overrated. No one said I had insider info I am just lucky enough to be able to talk to Mainieri every once in a while.

I have yet to see this changeup of Ott's that you speak of. Once I see it I will be able to evaluate it at that time. His slider as of last season was slightly above average for the college game.

I haven't spoken to him about Ott at length although he told me he "grew" in the off season. I asked him what that meant and he said his baseball knowledge has increase exponentially. On the subject of Louis he loves that guy more than anyone else in the world. When asked if he would do it again would he keep him in for 6 homerruns he said absolutely Louis was our man and I had extreme faith in him obviously the outcome wasn't as we hoped but he gave us everything he had.

You said he only gives you prerecorded answers so why should we take anything you say seriously? Are you an insider or not?

Did you happen to ask how Ott gained all this knowledge while he wasn't pitching last Summer?

First of all the stats I posted were Ott's SEASON stats. You said he didn't do it in any big games, that's when people started bringing up the 3 innings against Texas. Now Im going to say setting the single season saves record and being named stopper of the year proves Ott's dominance last year. Now you say it was more of a testament to Gibbs an the offense than it was to Ott.

I'm not saying Ott will or will not put up the types of numbers he did last year. I'm saying that the numbers prove Ott's dominance last year.

You haven't responded to any of the stats on Bradshaw. You've said he doesn't have what it takes to be a big game pitcher when, again, the numbers clearly proved that he was a solid guy last year

And again...I would like to know what you're basing your opinion on. You said you don't go to practice, you have no inside info, so what is it that brought you to your conclusions?

My opinion is based on the stats. The numbers proved Ott was dominant last year and Bradshaw did whatever job he was asked to do. I'm not going to even to start to argue with you about Coleman

Like I said I am not an insider just a guy who happens to talk with him on a fairly regular basis. I don't know how Ott gained this knowledge that wasn't on my mind whenever Mainieri told me that. Maybe him and dirty Sanchez went over mechanics or something idk. How about we make a deal. Ott gets exploited this year you owe me Texas de Brazil and if he matches his last years showing of 16 saves, 2.68 ERA, And 69 strikeouts I owe you Texas de Brazil. Deal?

Agreed, myself included. I am not usually a member of the grammar or spelling police. I am giving this guy a hard time because of the absolutely incredible stuff he's said. Also, if you are going to be a name dropper, you need to spell the names correctly.

I also don't know what you want me to respond to in terms of Bradshaw the guy was 4-0 in 25 appearances with a 3.04 ERA. That does not scream anything to me besides mediocrity.

No, I'm not arguing he is going to duplicate those numbers because he won't. That should only put into context how special of a season he had last year...yet you continue to downplay it for some reason.

Absolutely no deal. I'm not arguing he will or will not match last seasons numbers, simply that you aren't giving him, or Bradshaw, the credit they are due after their performances last year.

ANSWER MY QUESTION AS TO WHAT FACTORS YOU TOOK INTO ACCOUNT WHEN YOU FORMED YOUR OPINION OF THESE 2 PITCHERS
