but iif we make it to the finals i think we should pitch Coleman on Monday, if we win we pitch Ross, if we lose we pitch Ranaudo,
I think we do this b/c if we win on Monday we will be in the drivers seat, and we wouldn't need to pitch Ranaudo on short rest, and if we lose tuesday we will have a well rested Ranaudo throwing... and i like Ranaudo rested then pitching on short rest

It could go like this:
Saturday==Renaudo
Monday====Coleman
Friday====Renaudo
Monday====Coleman
Tuesday===Renaudo on short rest?? or Ross
Wednesday=Ross or Renaudo
I don't see this happening. It would be one thing to pitch Ranaudo after 6 days, but then you lose him. No way he comes back for a 3rd start after only another 4 days. Not for a start anyway. The key is to NOT have to use him to get that 3rd win. Use Ross. He's a weekend starter, not some scrub. That's why he's been pitching every weekend, for this game.

That's why I had question marks. Remember, rain can change things drastically in Omaha. Ross is a solid 3rd option and at that point its all hands on deck.
Best case scenario is for Renaudo and Coleman to go DEEP into the first two games so that the bullpen is fresh.

+1
And do we know for sure that Ranaudo is starting against Virginia??

Of course not, but it makes the most sense. He's been the "Friday" starter for awhile now. If it ain't broke, why fix it? Not to mention it sets up your veteran, Coleman, facing Cal State (likely opponent if we win). He will either be there to spring board LSU to the catbird seat or you have him in a clutch must-win, elimination game. I would rather my young pitcher on the hill against a young team without having to face elimination. It just makes more sense.

Here is how I see it going if we go 3-0 going into the Championship Series:
Sat- Ranaudo
Mon- Coleman
Friday- Ross/Coleman in relief
Monday- Ranaudo
Tuesday- Coleman
Wednesday- If necc Ross/Bradshaw
Long Relief needed:
Bradshaw
Cain
Short Relief needed:
Bert.
Haydel
Jones
Close: Ott

I am wondering why no one has considered the following option assuming that Ranaudo and Coleman can take care of business on Sat. and Mon. and go deep into the games keeping the bullpen relatively fresh :
why not start Ross and then use the three guys (Byrd, Cain, and Bradshaw) that stepped up so big at the SEC tournament to fill out the rest of the game. Even the thought of switching pitchers basically each time threw the line up so the opponent does not get comfortable. This i think is the best way to try to save our best for the CWS finals.
I know this is a lot of speculation but just a thought

win two then the other team would have played SAT, MON, WED so they could be on a depleted bullpen, but they would still have SAT pitcher available for Friday.
