Customer of mine worked for a contractor who removed the cypress seats from Tiger Stadium and put in aluminum in 1969-70. He gave me this piece with seat number on it.

Very cool. When our local HS here changed out the 45 year old wooden bleachers with aluminum, I was able to snatch some of the wood to do some woody things for graduating senior baseball players. Three of my sons played on that field and I coached. But there as well.

I planed the 2x8s a tab to bring out the grain but kept the worn spots, holes, knots, etc. For example; For one class I made replica baseball bats with a flat side to mount on a wall. For another I made replica baseballs with a flat side to place on a desk or wall. Each item had the player’s initials and # burned into it. For another I made plaques with their Initials and # and each player on the team signed all of them for each other.
