ugh, they kept saying "Matthews" in the broadcast Saturday. Reminds me of when they would call Trindon "Holloway" all the time.

the first would be closer to the right way as a "muted/muffled" A in "ran" which could be heard as a "run"...actually more in between ran and ron
It is not TYRON.
..more like the A in the word "Part" but the N adds to the confusion because of the familiarity of "run" and "ron".

Hawthorne and jordy call him tie ran

The official guide from lsu has tie run so I say it that way.

Hawthorne also calls mo.....clay burn and not born

This is the way I hear those closely associated with the team say it.

I like to say "tuh RON". But really I just call him Honey Badger, because he certainly takes what he wants.
