Because NCAA still uses an archaic RPI system that would penalize LSU for playing Grambling. Better to keep it canceled.

I guess its not beating them giving them momentum as much as losing to them would make them lay down more. But obviously we should beat them no matter the circumstances.

South Carolina slugger Ethan Petry gave it a go on Tuesday against Winthrop as he attempted to recover from a sprained shoulder, but that effort may sideline him for the weekend series against LSU.
A day after a few uncomfortable-looking at-bats, Petry was in some pain a day ahead of the final SEC series of the season. First-year head coach Paul Mainieri said just before the rains came on Wednesday afternoon during practice that Petry is questionable against the Tigers.
"He's not feeling too good actually," Mainieri said. "He's not going to practice today, so he's very questionable for this weekend."

Thanks, I was looking for an update earlier today after seeing him wince in pain last night and even drop his bat.
