The officials usually get in on Friday. Since they don't fly on a charter I imagine they will have a helluva time even getting to Gainsville on Saturday. That will be night mare numerous uno. Can't tee it up without them.
I'm going to go with 10% chance. If Gainsville electric goes out, then a big fat zero percent.
Florida doesn't want to play. Pure and simple. They are a butchered team, mentally and physically. They want out in the worst way.

One thing that folks are overlooking, it's not like UF is being the lone oddball here.

Miami is far more in the line of fire than UF and they are going forward hosting FSU as planned.

You do realize that pretty much all major universities generate the bulk of their own power on an ordinary day, and have emergency step up capacity ready to flip on at an unexpected loss of power during game time.

The game will be played at UF. Period.

Only three outcomes, in order of likelihood:
1) Plays as scheduled.
2) Plays in UF with a tweaked start time.
3) Plays in UF with no fans

I'll be fine with the no fans outcome, because we going to beat that arse. I just think the Gators are in total avoidance mode. Doesn't hurt them not to play.

I'll be 100% bummed if it isn't. Game should have been moved, but it's obvious that McBeaver doesn't want none of LSU without there 1st string Qb.

Tulane @ UCF was canceled yesterday, though that is a Friday game. Probably a good chance this one will be canceled too; UF is only a few hours north from UCF. One thing to note is that both teams have the same bye week in November, so it was pretty easy for us to rearrange.

It would suck to lose both, for sure. I get back tonight from an offshore shift in the ME later today. Was looking forward to streaming both games in the hotel.

LSU should raise so much hell if this game isn't played at all

30 mph winds, and 3-5" of rain on Friday is the forecast as of right now. If this holds true, everything will be fine.

If I read another comment about the weather in Gainesville on Friday or Saturday I think I might have a heart attack. This situation was never about the direct weather impacts in Gainesville but rather the impact in the surrounding areas and the very real threat for widespread emergency responders as this monster barrels up the coast from West Palm Beach to Jacksonville.

Combine that with the fact that there is not a ton of room for error with respect to the actual weather in Gainesville and keeping this game in that state on Saturday is an asinine decision. Move it to Sunday. Move it to Monday. I don't give a shite, but playing it Saturday is the decision of a group of people out of touch with reality.
