While extremely talented, These two young guys have lots of kids as we keep hearing about. It's definitely a pain to move around with that many young kids and let them develop friendships. Hopefully we can keep them around for a while. O can keep pitching the family friendly with Uhigh right there on campus. It makes it easy to see the kids while traveling so much. Why leave that setup!! Hope Peetz and potentially freeman can stay for a while and create a dynasty...

Freeman, probably a 1-2 year expectation. Peetz, I’m guessing from articles I’ve read, isn’t a sure thing until Brady’s role is determined. Either way, I’ll take 2 great years of freeman and worry about it in 2023.

The problem with hiring young guys who are very successful is they will not stay more than a couple of years as they will move on to the NFL or a HC job in college football.

Freeman is probably at LSU for 3 years tops. Excel at LSU and then get a head coaching job.

How many coordinators stay anywhere for more than a few years?

I know people will point to Venables, but he seems like the exception rather than the rule.

Saban has the same problem. His elite coordinators move on to head coaching jobs. It means your successful

The price of success. If thee staff continues to recruit at a high level & the teams are successful, the assistants become desirable head coach candidates. Ask Saban about it.

Solid point. 3-4 years average, most likely. A few go over that but moving around is the norm.

I get that, but most those young coaches such as Joe Brady don't have any kids and he isn't even married. Makes life easier to bounce around. One can hope we hit two home runs with Peetz and Freeman, and they want to stay in south Louisiana long term...I'm sure both are going to take into consideration what the wife and kids want too during these early stages of their life for future jobs.

We can pay handsomely for a while. You gotta think having a premier K-12 school on LSU's campus is a pretty nice esp for all your kids to be two minutes away from the office. I don't doubt they could bolt though after a couple of seasons though...
