For me, having seen Diggs play at ND a lot (ND grad) I can see him being in the top two backs. He has no quit in him. Williams and Cain are also good and vet backs but it will be interesting to see if they can keep Jackson off of the field.

Also I hate reading that Emery is running with the 3s today. I know he just recently rejoined the team from more academic troubles but man, thought he might be able to put the game together as a senior...

If I was a bettin man I would put my money in the early part of the season on the experienced guys. BK loves him some experience and mentions it almost every PC. I can see him weaving some younger guys in when he has some pad on the game flow. I expect him to get the offense established in the first 3-4 games with Williams, Cain, Emory, and Goodwin. I also expect to see a lot of Diggs assuming he knows BK's offense somewhat.

By game 4 Jackson will be getting a majority of the carriers. He can be the difference between a win and a loss. It will be undeniable.

Who do y'all have as the first back up?

Bumping cuz interesting to see the order at this point in the season. Seems like Diggs is RB1 with the most carries (15) and yards (115) with Jackson and Cain coming in with 11 carries each. However Williams has 10 carries but 87 yards for the highest YPC on the team (8.7).

Interesting tho that yesterday Cain had the 4th most carries with Williams coming in at 3rd and Jackson at 2nd. Will be interesting to see who asserts themselves as RB2 or if we just continue the committee approach. Personally I'd like to see more of Williams but Jackson is a beast too
