The location leads me to believe it’s caused by repetitive motion or overuse which can cause the muscles and nerve bundle to impinge on that vein restricting flow. This is somewhat common with thoracic outlet syndrome. It’s essentially a provoked blood clot. Spontaneous blood Clots in the arm are not very common in young adults or the overall population in general. Interesting it happened to Wembenyama earlier this year as well.
