The fact that Ciron made it and PP didn't clearly indicates that the people making these lists are not watching the games. No way Ciron is even 2nd team and no way Peterson is anything but the best CB in the SEC and maybe even all CFB.

I bet Vern and Gary voted on this. Arenas was good but not quite as good at PP. The fact that Arenas was great on Special teamsprobably had a lot to do with the voting and people just voted on name recognition instead of actual play.

I’ll do you one better if some how the rules changed and he could come out this year he would be taken first before either of those guys. This list is BS it's I guess a life time achievement vote for players on the best teams I guess.....you would have to be out of your mind to make the argument that Arenas is a better corner than Peterson. And frankly what the hell is Ciron Black doing on the first team he had a very questionable year (although I guess I may not be knowledgeable enough to evaluate individual Olinemen, but still I’ve not heard anyone say he had a good year). It sounds like typical media who don't even care to look into stuff and they just go with the names they've heard of more...

further evidence of this is trindon Holliday made honorable mention. Now don't get me wrong I love trindon...but honestly he didn't see the field nearly enough....people just know his name b/c their always going on and on about how short and how fast he is so they know the name and they vote him in....lazy SOB's

him not making first team all sec is a complete joke to me.

The NFL will take care of this. Who is gonna play corner in the NFL at a higher level (assuming no injuries) Peterson or these other guys like Arenas?

He shut down Julio Jones while on the field. When PP was off the field, Julio Jones made Brandon Taylor look stupid. That is a microsm of how important PP is to our team. However, Joe Haden is just as good on a better team and Javier Arenas does more for is team than just tight coverage. His special team work is comparable to Trindon if not better because of the dependability of ball security.

Patrick Peterson is a freak of nature at corner. The other dudes are poor-man versions at best.

Steve Sarkisian, while at USC, said PP was the best FOOTBALL player he has ever seen. Not just cornerback but all around football player. Say what you want about USC but they see alot of talent at their camps. For him to say that should tell you what kind of athlete PP is. He will be on the 1st team preseason next year and barring injury, first team at the end of the year.

Look at how Julio did against Peterson and then against Haden. Haden is not just as good.

Yeah, as in the first day of next year, when your team gets to meet him up-close and personal.

Which side of the field would you like to NOT throw the ball?

Yeah. Thing is, some comparisons are valid when it comes to rating players and trying to predict how they will do at the next level.

But with cats like PP, it's just different. He is already one of the greatest college football players I've ever seen, and I've covered the sport for almost 30 years. However, that doesn't mean the other players aren't really outstanding in their own right, and they don't have to be matched up w/anyone else to be any better or not.
