He was not giving glory to God. He was saying that God‘s favor was shining down on him and his team. Possibly even imagining Clemson as God’s team.

Giving God glory is recognizing that everything you are and everything you have is gods.

Seriously People? The guy gave Glory to God! Cmon Man!

No, he didn’t. He said Clemson HAD god’s glory. Meaning “god is on our side”. Essentially stating that god is helping them win and making other teams lose.

It’s an extremely arrogant thing to say. Cure childhood cancer? Nope, god can’t do that. But if you want to win a football game, god’s got your back.

This America ...we have this thing called freedom of religion...Which means he has just as much right to believe as you do to not believe....The next time you win award for something, you can thank whoever you would like.

I see no issue with thanking God for my good health and talents. Others may not have been gifted those, in particular, but God gives us all our own unique gifts. I was unable to have children and adopted. Should I resent all the woman who give birth? I thank God for the miracle he gave me instead of the losses I endure.

It’s almost as if it’s all random and there isn’t anything pulling the strings in all this..... hmm... makes you wonder.

Why does he make orphan children in the first place? Seems kind of cruel to children doesn’t it?

God has a plan.

God works in mysterious ways.

Insert loophole here.

People have sure turned on Dabo in such a short time. Not saying people loved him on this board 2-3 years ago but he definitely wasn’t this disliked as he is now. I guess winning will do that to people.

Of course he has. Nobody has lived life without grief at some point. What does that have to do with his football team having favor?

If you are offended because God someone thanks God ...that really says more about you than it does about them . That’s a “YOU” problem.

Or maybe people that love God as much as him feel slighted because he thinks he's better than them and deserves more. That's what his comments say.

I’m sure he has. Everyone has.

That’s not the point. The point is, he is saying “god” is favoring him and his team over all other teams.

It’s a ridiculous claim to make and is extremely arrogant. OSU has just as many Christian players and fans as Clemson. Christians are the ones who should be the most upset with his comments. Those of us who are not really don’t care about the religious implications of his statement, we are simply pointing out what kind of douche Dabo is for making such a statement.

What about people who thank Allah or Shiva, or any of the other gods?

Well to be fair Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny are more plausible than a god.
