He was fired for not winning the West, which is hard to do when you're losing 3 games. No one would bat an eye if we were having 2011 type seasons regularly with that offense, but it was the exception.
No. He was fired 4 games in to 2016. And still no passing game.

Those 4 games passing stats - 54 of 99, 54% - averaged 147 yards per game passing.

Yes, the stats you posted indicated our passing game struggled quite a bit early in 2016. And had we eeked out close wins against Wisconsin and Auburn that wouldn't have really mattered.

The thought was a passing game would get us over the hump towards getting into a playoff game. We weren't trying to develope a passing game just for the fun of it.

Another made up fan fable.

What if we went 12-0 every year, he would still be here.

Neither of those two happened.
Miles 8-5 season in 2015 put him on the hot seat.

Oh, for frick's sake.

You're the one insinuating wins and losses have nothing to do with why Les was fired. My point is that people would have continued to tolerate the lackluster passing game had we managed to win those two games we narrowly lost.

They are desperate to set this narrative in stone - i.e., if Orgeron loses 3 games, he MUST be fired.

Because Miles.

Another 9-3 regular season next year with the pieces we have coming together would be a major disappointment, no?

How is it made up? Had we been winning the West those years, you think they're firing Miles because it wasn't pretty?

Can you show an example of anyone currently saying this?

Yeah I know what they are trying and failing to do. Their narrative is totally false.

It's just wishful thinking from the people who can't let something go that happened two years ago. Petty and childish.

Orgeron will not be fired for 9-3 this year. The seat will warm but not fired.

Cherry-picking predictions to fit a specific narrative is pretty disingenuous. First Cut wised up and just logged off.

Who has said he would be fired for 9-3 this year?

Yep, LSU was generally selected to finish 5tyh in the conference.

Offensive unknows were the reason.
