Who's to say T Martin couldn't have been as good of a QB as Manning if he'd been given the time to develop. No, I don't think so myself either, but the point is it's all hypothetical! Nothing else.
The only thing we can do now is sit back and watch JR rack up the honors in the NFL.

Because college QB's have always been judged on more than their ability to throw the fricking football 70 yards and have the best stats. Your LSU homerism renders you useless.

SFP, I was just wondering what your background is because I totally agree with what you're saying about 95% of the time, then sometimes you come with some off the wall shite. I was just wondering if you played college ball or coached or what?

peyton manning very well may be the best QB to ever set foot on a football field
tee martin played 1 year in college and i don't think he ever started a game in the NFL

naw i just read a lot and am good at seeing patterns, generally. even in coaching, that's what you're doing. and i'm not the most technically-gifted "Seer" of things on the field, but i don't claim to be
but the patterns in the game, and the analysis after the games are played? that's just basic analysis
i didn't even start following college ball until around 2000 or so

its not bullshite, its really simple.
according to many people on here, matt flynn was a better quarterback than jamarcus russell because matt flynn "won" a national championship at lsu. these same people people should have NO problem saying tee martin was a better quarterback than peyton manning because tee martin "won" a national championship at tennessee.
there is absolutely no possible reason for their theory to apply to flynn but not to martin. and people dont notice how stupid that theory truly is until they are presented with that challenge, because up to this point NOBODY has had the balls to step up and type those 9 words on here for fear of showing how fricking stupid they truly are, as if they havent been doing that already.

Ah hell Russell lovers, go take a sack late in a game where you only score 3 points with no timeouts left, and throw 2 other passes in the middle of the field on the same drive. Russell was pretty good, but also brainless at times, and nothing much more special than any other good qb here. Just be happy in your souls that he was the #1 overall pick in the draft and you don't have to pay him. I sure Al Davis does not feel so great about having to!

this isn't the pros you moron, the clock stops on a first down. Flynn threw a pretty bad INT against Kentucky when he had a touchdown, but you don't see us nailing him for it or calling him stupid.
You only think the man was stupid because he was black. He threw 8 ints against against one of the hardest schedules in NCAA history with a bad running game for 3/4ths of the season.
The only thing that separates LSU's 2006 record and LSU's 2007 record is Arkansas. In 2006 they lost one SEC game and LSU lost 2. We gave them that loss. In 2007 arkansas sucked and we still lost to them. We had the same record in 2006 as we did in 2007 in a weaker SEC.
