Why would anybody want to come coach at a school that doesn’t support it’s coaches entirely?? Will Wade hasn’t had full support since he took the job.

Well, there is the employer loyalty angle. And that is valid. What is more asinine is LSU backing itself into a corner where they have to scream that their coach is guilty as frick of cheating to avoid a paltry payout, then next Tuesday screaming that he wasn't guilty of shite to avoid sanctions. What a fricking clown show from beginning to end...

I could get on board with this.

No coach worth a damn is touching this job for the next 3 years. Y’all need to check your expectations

First of all, "Y'all" reads like stupid red neck. Maybe it is style, but it also suggests that you are an outsider.

Anyway,

Lot's of money, low expectations for 2-3 years, and... did I mention money?

This situation could possibly lure someone like Musselman.

So Tony Bennet is a holy shite candidate, but Jay Wright or Bill Self isn’t? You may as well put Tony Bennet in the no chance category.

Ed Cooley is possibly the best I see us getting right now. Would be great for where we are at.

For the last mother fricking time. Rick Pitino is not coming to LSU. He himself has said numerous times he’s staying at Iona the rest of his career. It’s a small catholic school out of the limelight. How is this so hard to grasp for some of you guys? I say this every time somebody brings up Rick. It’s not happening. Not even to mention his history.

Can you imagine Rick walking out on DALE BROWN Court.. Me neither.

The norm is somewhere around 8 or 9 months. Maybe Emmert will get it done sooner but it may well not be till early 2023.

You have to go after Scott Drew. But Baylor has approved a brand new arena set to open in 2024 with state of the art practice and workout facilities. Its gonna be first class all the way. Hard to see Drew leaving that situation.

Andy Kennedy might be an option. Has done well at UAB and obviously was at Ole Miss previously.

Honestly we could do a lot worse than Eric Konkol. The guy is just flat out a winner. Here is his record at La Tech:

23-10 - 2015-16
23-10 - 2016-17
17-16 - 2017-18
20-13 - 2018-19
22-8 - 2019-20
24-8 - 2020-21
23-9 - 2021-22.

152-74 overall. Two time Louisiana bball Coach of the Year.

He runs a clean program. He recruits well. He knows Louisiana high school basketball. Tech made the Final r of the NIT last year. They lost in the championship game of the conf tourney on Sat to UAB. He is only 45. Its certainly worth a phone call.

Under normal circumstances I would say I’d like to see someone who has proven they can win past the conceivable run of good players. But the next head coach might just be a sacrificial lamb to ride us through the lean years.
