Mett threw the pick 6, Bryant returned it.

Reid picked off JJ and stepped out of bounds.

So what you're saying is they both couldn't have happened ? Because they did.

Shep beat Simon a stutter and go, Simon fell down, JJ overthrew him

JJ hit Shep on a flag route, Shep caught it spun and made Simon miss and ran for the score.

sounds like simon is a liability.

Seriously ?

Les Miles and his staff see these guys everyday. EVERYDAY!

You think he is not playing the best player ? The guy is getting paid 3.75 million dollars and you think he is not going to play the best player who he thinks gives him the best chance to win ?

does JJ honestly look better then last year? How is his running? it seems people look at his running ability like it shouldn't be considered.

I take it that you actually witnessed the scrimage.

Likewise, but a little less of it then what we saw last year.

I only see Lee coming in if he needs to give the team a spark.

If things are going well, like the Cotton Bowl, I see it as JJ's game.

No, he doesn't.

Yes, I did.

Look, our defense is Ridiculously skilled. There was absolutely nobody to throw to all day versus the ones (except for the one play where Simon fell down and JJ overthrew Shep.)

Josh D was getting abused by Montgomery all scrimmage.

So he had very little time to throw and very few opportunities to throw to an open reciever.

Lee had a solid day. But, he also still throws off his back foot constantly. He might not have thrown an int on the day, but that doesn't mean there shouldn't have been any ints made.

It's just a damn shame we don't have a good/great QB to go with all of this talent....

And

I'm not knocking JJ, JL or Mett......but i just wish one of these guys would just seperate and become a force.

How good would LSU be with a steady and good passing QB???

People are so enamored by stats that they think 300 yds passing and 200 yds rushing is either a lie, or if they believe it, our D sucks.

They fail to see the obvious that the LSU offense never came off the field for 100 plays. This defense is SICK!

Those were his only two blunders on the day. Granted they were two major frickups. He still was very solid on the day.

I heard a member of the staff say earlier this fall that Simon may be the best cover corner on the team. They like him A LOT

Can you even wrap your head around what this defense will look like in 2012?

DE: Sam Montgomery-JR
DT: Mike Brockers-JR
DT: Freak Johnson-SO
DE: Barkevious Mingo-Jr

OLB: Trevon Randle-SO
MLB: Kevin Minter-SO
OLB: Lamin Barrow-SR

CB: Mo Claiborne-SR
FS: Craig Loston-JR
SS: Eric Reid-JR
CB: Tharold Simon-JR
NB: Tyrann Mathieu-JR

No doubt you could argue in a few of those situations that the backups are better than the starters

ok. So was he not better when the offense was going at our usual pace? i am hearing that he sucked in the hurry up but better once it settled down.

Another thing, towards the end last year, jj was actually decent or at least a little better then in the beginning. I mean did any of you get to witness the scrimages last year? Surely the offense looks better. I don't see how it could be worse.

scrimmage is nothing like a game, especially how les likes to run them. DBs get tired and make mistakes when they are on the field nonstop

i wouldn't read that much into it.
