LSU wins 4-1

Nola:
7 IP
4 hits
0 walks
9 SO's

Bullpen closes it down in the 8th and 9th to preserve Nola a little bit.

Nola comes in riding high and gets a shutout.

Our offense gets too eager especially Bregman and Katz and swing away too much. We win 3-0 with all the runs coming from the back half of the lineup.

LSU has a big 2 or 3 run first inning, then the bats go limp until after the stretch, when the Tigers have another big inning or two highlighted by a homer by one of the "base hit" guys (Rhymes, Ross, Stevenson,...someone you wouldn't expect to get it over the fence). Ibarra and Bregman both get 3 or 4 hits each, but JaCoCo and Katz are frustrated.

Nola pitches flawlessly until the 5th, when he tires and UCLA beats up on him and his reliever, getting all three of their runs that inning. Rumbelow, Fury, then Cotton pitch consecutive shutout innings to seal the come-from-behind win.

Final score: LSU 7, UCLA 3.

LSU 3 UCLA 1. Nola is Nola, especially against tiny ball ucla. They will manage to break off 1 run by bunting them around and getting a timely hit. LSU doesn't murder at the plate, but does what it needs to get the W.

LSU then comes and blows the door off UNC bc they are more relaxed. 11-4 victory.

LSU faces UNC again and drops game 1 6-5 before coming back to win the next 8-3,

LSU takes Oregon State in 3 to win CWS.
