I am happy with Les Miles in recruiting, however I dont go to the games to watch him recruit, so I say NO at this point I am not happy with the decisions he has made in the past two seasons.

That's because lots of us who are unhappy and have taken the time in the past to post respectful, intelligent reasons why, are tired of the idiots like Choctaw and others who post stupid knee-jerk responses which show how dysfunctionally in denial they are.
Participating in any discourse on this subject is a waste of time and energy.

Have we fallen that far? That's truly sad.
Tell us how many times Saban bettered 9-3 at LSU. He is the love of your life now, fairweather fan.
For that matter, tell us how many times LSU has bettered 9-3 in the last 30 yrs, Mr. Clueless, and who has done it more times than any other LSU coach.
God, where did all these fairweather know it alls come from?

I'm happy with Miles as long as he produces a team that can compete for SEC titles every couple years.
What does it mean to "compete" for the SEC title? Every team competes for it. If competing for the title means being a threat to win it, then that's something an elite program should do almost every year, not every couple of years. From 2000 through 2007, we competed for the SEC West every year. In every one of those years, there was one game that, if it went the other way, we would have won the title. Even in the worst of those years, 2002, we were 10 seconds away from winning the West when Arkansas scored at the end. But in 2008 and 2009, we weren't a factor. In both years, you could pick any game you want and reverse the outcome, and we still would not have won the West. In 2008, you could have picked any TWO games and done that, and we still would not have won the West.
Our recent past tells us that "competing" for the SEC West title (and therefore the SEC title, since winning the division automatically gives you a chance to win the overall title) is something we are capable of doing year in and year out, so we should not have to settle for doing it once every couple of years. Of course, we won't win it every year, but we should be a factor practically every year and always a legitimate threat to win it.

Only twice. The difference was that 8-5 in 2002 and 9-3 in 2004 were disappointments, not cause for celebration or proving the critics wrong. 8-4 in 2000 was a god damned miracle after what happened in the '90s.

Not enough times. We've always been capable of being elite, but we've usually crippled ourselves with mediocre coaches who didn't get it done.

who has done it more times than any other LSU coach.
McClendon bettered it three times (1962, 1969, 1972) and equaled it three times (1970, 1971, 1973)
Using those mediocre times in the past as the measuring stick for our program is exactly the mentality that caused them to happen then. It's like some of you just think it's not our place to be better than that. The programs that are better than ours do not have that mentality, and that's a big reason why they are better.

How many coaches have won national championships at two major programs? Saban and Miles shouldn't even b in the same sentence. Tigers won in 2007 with Sabans players despite Les' poor decisions. I know I'm gonna get flack for this one.

And deservingly so.
Nick hit the road bout 12/04 and does not get credit for the happenings in 1/08 any more than Shula should get credit for what went on at Bama in 1/10.
As to those poor decisions, they were better than any other coach was able to do in 07 and led to a NC. It's hard to understand the bitching by LSU fans over results that led to a NC but each to our own.

Yes...you are...because its a retarded theory.
Answer this...if Miles won it in '07 with "Sabans players" then why didn't Saban win it in '04 with those so called same players?

My point is that Saban is the only coach to win a national championship at two major programs and people like you are bragging about how great Miles is because he has multiple 10 win seasons and a NC he shouldn't even get credit for. He's like Barry Switzer at Dallas back in the 90s.
You are delusional if you don't see whats coming.

i never said he wasn't a better coach then Miles. I would just like you to answer my question regarding your dumbass comment about "Sabans players". Why didn't Saban have a better '04 season?

I'm happy
but I'm pretty sure I'm the least happy of all the "happy" votes.
