The voters are going to vote on who they think is the #2 team! it is not bama's fault that the teams y'all would rather play all went down late to some suspect comp. Just handle your business in Atlanta, then get ready for the GOCII!

I know y'all want no part of bama again, but face it! Unless you Georgia walks all over lsu, that is what y'all will get. Just ask herbie!

Maybe I'm in the minority but I think LSU is going to beat the piss out of Bama in the rematch. Les and JJ do their best work given time to prepare and let's be honest, bowls have never really been Saban's strong suit. At this point, I'm more worried about the UGA game.

I was originally hoping for an undefeated Stanford or OU because that would have looked more awesome (like an all time great guantlet of different teams LSU beat in one year). LSU beating Alabama twice would diminish how good of a team people think they had this year

That's exactly how I felt. Les Miles is trying to put the finishing touches on a masterpiece and he doesn't need to add anymore Alabama to the recipe to finish off this Mona Lisa. An undefeated Oklahoma State that had averaged 50+ points per game would have looked so good on LSU's resume.

You should probably post on the SECRant instead of here.

Sorry, 2 table spoons of Ingredient Alabama will be required for that mona lisa.

It's sad that we have to play a team that can't even win their division much less their conference.

I am just trying to have a friendly jawing match with the tiger fans and having fun talking about the possible rematch. But,, you can tell that they are not very much in favor of playing us again.

For some reason they throw personally directed insults..

Why should they be?

We already beat you in Tuscaloosa.

You have to be an alter.

This thread is more on along the line of serious BCS talk and percentages. Maybe your intellectual jawing on Lsu "fear" is more suitable for the sec rant as your fellow tide fan mentioned.

Are you suggesting that the Tigers need to "earn" their admission ticket to the NC title game by "handling business" in Atlanta while you Gumps, with no conference title, no division title and no game to play this weekend already have your ticket punched?

I can't wait to see the ensuing meltdown when Okie State jumps you guys . . .

How does a team that gets beat in the regular season, and therefore eliminated from conference contention (because face it, Arkansas was NOT going to touch us this year), BAMA DOES NOT DESERVE ANOTHER CHANCE TO PLAY LSU. Period. Bama would have the brakes beat off of them if they come to the Superdome (basically a home game for us). We went INTO YOUR HOUSE AND BEAT YOU. We have more wins versus ranked opponents on the road than we do at home. How many ranked teams has Bama played, and beaten? How many has LSU beaten? We're 7/7. Georgia, on the road, will be 8. THAT IS CHAMPIONSHIP FOOTBALL.

All the media is already hyping up the rematch, which won't happen. OKST beats OU by 17+ this weekend, and the computers that don't already have OKST at #2 will push them to #2. Most human voters, as we all know, don't want to see an ALL SEC NCG nor do they wanna see a rematch. OKST is going to get the nod IMO as long as they make it out of Stillwater with a nice W.

A Bama/LSU rematch isn't good for the SEC, college football or even LSU. It is good only for Alabama. That's it. One school.

I agree with this 120%. No one across the nation, except in the state of Alabama, which no one gives a damn about anyways, wants to see a rematch. An 11-1 conference champion deserves a shot. Does Stanford deserve the nod to the BCSNCG over Oregon? NO. For the same reason Bama doesn't deserve a rematch. Conference champions should automatically get the nod to the BCS over a higher ranked BCS team. Oregon beats Stanford 9/10 times. We beat Oregon AND Bama already IN THE REGULAR SEASON.
And this idiot Oregon fan thinks we played a soft OOC schedule. On the road vs. their ducks... W. On the road against WVU (top 25 at the time), W. WKU at home, W. We played Florida, at home, which although is an SEC team, they're not in our division, so I count that as another OOC game. Whats Oregon, Bama, Stanford's OOC schedule look like? Don't worry... I'll wait.

God Help Bammertown if Stanford and Va Tech lose and Okie st wins... There will be enough momentum to avoid rematch. Dont care who we play but the Gumps are assuming they are going and this melt down will be of epic proportions.
