This is what I've been thinking about. OSU and VT - 2 one loss conference champs splitting votes and letting Bama get through.

This is my thought as well.

the voters have had plenty of time to show their dislike of the rematch. Okie St struggled with A&M and lost to a 6-5 Iowa St. They are ranked #5 in both human polls. Beating a team that lost to Texas Tech and Baylor ain't going to help much. Voters don't look at computer ratings. The two best teams in the country are LSU1 and Bama2! I believe the rematch will be better! Hopefully for Bama!

Ok st. must have 25% of the 2vote and all the 3vote by next Sunday or it's Lsu's worst nightmare. Yep, playing the only team that has beat you on the field. And the only team that can beat you on the scoreboard. Roll Tide!

Not a nightmare, loser. Bring "your home field negative yardage in the red zone one dimensional offense" to the Dome and we hammer you worse. Will be LMAO.

Walk us all through how it is that 'Bama deserves a second arse whipping at the hands of LSU. I would love to hear it. Also, will you be willing to post Satan's emotional meltdown(s) to your channel on You Tube and provide links following the game? Thrall us with your gump reasoning.

i am ready for this season to be over. the bcs stinks, lsu is getting screwed, bama is taking the back door into the ncg without even winning thier division. we get it.

The first arse whipping (as you put it) just was not good enough. Sorry! And I think most of the country agrees. And I know that 134 of 141 voters agree,, that is all that matters...

Yes an arse whipping in your own back yard with Satan foaming at the mouth. That's real entertainment. I scarcely worry that the outcome for the gump wagon will be any better the second time around.

Really,, does 2007 ring a bell... A 2 loss team backed into a national title. Plus,, y'all can lose the sec championship and still get in.. Y'all can use that game as practice.. Just saying... Don't get mad at us because okie st could not beat Iowa st, or Oklahoma beat Baylor, or Stanford or Oregon.

Wrong. The biggest game in the equation (OU vs OSU) hasn't been played yet. It's possible that the voters are concerned that OSU might not beat OU, and they don't want to be caught having to 'correct' their votes to reflect that they were avoiding the rematch all along... until OSU proves it deserves the chance. If they do, the voters could collectively exhale at once and jump at the chance to avoid the rematch once there's a legit 'proven' alternative.

A team that won its division. and it's conference. and it's conference championship game. and there were no 1-loss team alternatives, so it's not 'backing in' to anything

Well there are no unbeaten alternatives this year. Every one loss team lost later in the season than us and lost to worse foes....

I guess they are waiting to move okst ahead of vtech and stanford also. Don't get your hopes up! Remember if they beat Oklahoma, they are only beating a team that lost to texas tech and baylor.

Who was the 2nd best team in 04? How about 06? 07? Sometimes the 2nd best team doesn't always get the chance to play in the title game. Losing at home and your own division on the same night will do that.

Isn't the object to chose the teams with the two best resumes? Even if I've believed that Houston wasn't the best team in the country, I wouldn't vote them #1 or #2 because of their inferior resume.
