LA Dodger Talk
The Dodgers are still working on signing their two highest remaining unsigned picks, first rounder Zach Lee and 6th rounder Kevin Guasman. After going the entire summer without speaking to Lee, reports from around the industry are suggesting that the Dodgers are going to break the bank in order to get the LSU football commit to sign. Keith Law says, via Twitter, “Sounds like if Zach Lee doesn’t sign, reason won’t be $$$ as Dodgers are going to offer him a mint.” Not much has been said about Gausman, who’s likely headed to LSU and will either be joining Lee in the Tigers’ rotation or will provide them with a consolation prize if Zach signs with the Dodgers.

Any word on Anthony Ranaudo? I know I'm just kidding myself to think that he won't sign, but it would help ease the pain if Lee ends up signing.

pretty sure he's older than that

Aint that the truth. If we get smoked and Lee signs, AR could really help us out if he doesnt sign.

I've been reading a lot about how the Sox will either sign Brandon Workman or Anthony Ranaudo. Obviously AR would come with a much stiffer price tag, likel $3 mill vs. $1.5 or so
here is a thread on a Sox forum about their picks

Sox sign their 3rd rounder Coyle for $1.3M

The Red Sox also are trying to close deals with sandwich-rounder Anthony Ranaudo, second-rounder Brandon Workman and fourth-rounder Garin Cecchini.

except he can't line up under center and would only be back for one year. there's not even any guarantees he wouldn't just go to the independent league if he doesn't sign

Anyone have any news on JaCoby Jones?
(I don't know or suspect anything, just curious.)

I know RA staying for one more year doesn't help for football, but it does ease the sting if ZL signs.
It's not a perfect fix just a consolation sort of like getting the fat chick at the end of the night after missing out on the 10 you were buying drinks for all evening.

Just talked to Kevin Gausman. He's moved in at LSU, but said the final decision will come down to the deadline.
Same thing Leblanc said. Won't believe it till tomorrow.
