flynn was a runner. i remember him running the options or having designed runs several times a game, and then scrambling on top of that.

quote:It's not impossible and I think Washington will keep it interesting for a while but USC has WAY too much depth and talent compared to Washington. Just as with LSU, both will separate them in the end.
I wouldn't be surprised at all if this Washington team is ready to play USC.
quote:Dang, if he's not proven after a win in that hostile environment...
USC has a Freshmen quarterback who is still unproven
I get what you're saying though.

Hee-I'm not a USC fan.

Geauxtiga, I understand what you mean as well. I know in the end the talent of USC will eventually wear Washington down. However, I still believe that Washington will give USC a scare if they go into this game with the same attitude they had when they played us. However, I don't like how posters on here down play both Washington and Vanderbilt. They say that us positive posters are just looking for an excuse for how the Tigers played. Do we really need an excuse, though? Although, we still have yet to play our best ball; it is still early in the season and most importantly we are 2-0. So, for all you negatigers out there, you better watch out for both Washington and Vanderbilt. I believe that both teams will surprise a lot of opponents and will eventually have a winning season while being bowl eligible. Book it!

Yeah, I got cha'. Many of these posters come here to start trouble anyway to get a rise out of people. I have did my share of it as well, however, I only do it to the negatigers who call people idiots because they don't share the same opinion. Aren't we all going for the same team anyway? So, if someone says things like LSU will dominate Florida then why do they feel like they need to call the poster an idiot. It is that poster's right to have an opinion. The correct way to do it is to repectfully tell that poster that the odds are slim, but they like their optimism. I mean, what happens if we really do dominate them, lol. Remember back when in 2007 when the posters on here were disappointed when we lost the last game to Arkansas? Many of them didn't attend the Tennessee game because they gave their tickets away and called the team a loser and wanted Miles fired. However, when we went to the BCS Championship, these same posters were doing anything to get tickets so they can jump back on the bandwagon. These same posters are the same people who complain now until LSU does something positive. Sometimes, you just got to take the good with the bad.

honestly what kind of response were the SC and OSU fans looking for when they posted on TD? not to say they were right or wrong, but they are just starting shite.
i won't go as far as to say that UW will upset USC, but I believe that UW is a lot better than anyone could have expected. last season was a fluke injury riddled season for them.

LSUTangerine, You do realize that the only reason Washington was 0-12 last season is because of injuries, right? The year before last they only lost to USC by what less than 10 points. Hell, Jake Locker was just a freshmen who won Pac-10 player of the year. So now, Jake Locker is healthier, more improved, and just might be the best quarterback in the Pac-10, even though, he technically only played one year. With a healthier running back in Chris Polk coming off a season ending injury from last year, a much more improved defense from the year before, and with a new coaching staff, not to mention that USC travels to Seattle to play this big time game; I wouldn't be surprised at all if this Washington team is ready to play USC. USC has a Freshmen quarterback who is still unproven, eight new starters on defense, and has still yet to prove that they are same USC. If USC gets too comfortable or even thinks about underestimating this opponent; you better believe that Jake Locker will be the one picking USC's defense apart. So, MikeTiger is not to far from the truth believe it or not.
Other than a sarcastic USC "might hang a hundred", which was in direct response to a six degreess of Kevin Bacon style argument that UW would win (i.e., Navy to OSU to USC; LSU to UW to USC), I have not predicted USC will blow UW out, nor am I.
A number of different PAC-10 teams play USC close every year. With Barkley in his third game or Corp in his first, USC will only open it up slightly more.
I expect them to win and that is what matters to me.
