This is how we know that you're off your rocker. It's historically unlikely that any QB throws at a 70% completion clip, but it's "not unlikely" for Burreaux.

This sounds like a definitive statement.
What will you do if he doesn't? Really asking

However, in a well-designed and well-executed Spread/RPO, it is NOT unlikely for a QB to come in around 70%
Check the numbers for Haskins in 2018; Tua in 2018; Murray in 2016 &1207; Mayfield in 2016 & 2017... Combined, they were 1435 of 2048
These 4 Spread/RPO QBs combined AVERAGED 70% completions
Goldrush... Are you "off your rocker"? Who knows. Are you beyond your depth-of-knowledge? Absolutely!

So what will you do if Burrow doesn't throw at 68%? Second time I ask
Funny that you brought up Tua's competition rate (even though you've said that Burrow is better) and of course you had to bring up Haskins again..... You definitely are predictable, I will give you that.
But I digress, should "magically" Burrow not do what you've been screaming for the last few months, what will you do? Will you finally leave here? Will you shut up? Both perhaps?

I love it when idiots try to use the outliers for proof of something being normal.
I the last 2 years only 2 teams had completion % 70 or above.
do you follow the sport?

I also found it funny that he plugged in Tua's competition percentage since he's said numerous times that Tua isn't that good of a QB.

there is ZERO chance that Buckeye isnt sexually attracted to Burrow.
Posted on 8/5/19 at 12:17 am to la_birdman
Tua was on his way to becoming a brilliant QB, until Saban ground his knees into hamburger... then pulled the Spread/RPO offense out from under him with Old School Sarkisian.

Ah of course, that had to be it. He couldn't be just a better QB. And I hate that he plays for that team but Tua is one of the most accurate QBs I've ever seen.

How would this affect Tua last season? Sarkisian hasn't even called a game for Bama yet. Mike Locksley was the OC for 2018.

BTW, Burrow had 72% completions in his Senior year of high school. None of the above QBs came close to that in HS. That was 2014... Colleges weren't fighting for Spread/RPO QB recruits in 2014 like they are now... after Spread/RPO QBs keep winning Natty's

Not sure where you went to school but playing in high school is a far cry from playing against SEC defenses.
Come on.

The Spread/RPO now RULES college football at the Playoff level. And the system a QB played in HS matters now more than ever.

I never said anything to the contrary.

Playing QB in high school obviously matters, but again, what I'm pointing out that playing at Athens High School (in Burrow's case) is not equivalent to playing Bama, Florida, Georgia, etc in the SEC.
High school play does not mean a player with tons of accolades will come in and blow it away. They may do well, but they're not going to play the same as in high school because the competition is that much more difficult. You're not playing against HS defenses now.

yeah the outliers.
burrow has shown nothing that puts him in their category nor has he done anything to make people think he will connect on 70% of his passes.

and?
its amazing watching you say that Burrow's 2019 season stats will prove he is an elite qb yet you dismiss Haskins' stats as proof he is better than Burrow.
you dont know enough about the actual playing of football to not shite on your own stances.

I agree.
I am in no way trying to rip on the kid (nor do I think that's what you're doing either). There are just other QBs in the SEC that are better. Burrow is a warrior and we're damn lucky to have him but I can't see him having a 70% completion rate at the end of this season.

I noticed that myself but I didn't want to draw attention to it.

you have a portion of this fan base that thinks anything but blind loyalty is bashing.
JB had 57.6 completion % against the sec last year but I'm supposed to believe he will hit 70 for the year?
