Objective Ranking of LSU Offense in SECW

I read the other day where Greedy's comments were taken out of context and that he was only speaking of the LSU/BAMA game. I decided to remove the Bama game from all SECW schedules from this year, and see where the actual numbers shake out, since most think Lsu had the worst offense. The results are as follows in PPG.
LSU 28
A&M 25.4
OM. 24.14
Auburn. 22.42
State. 22
Ark. 15
These results are only the SEC games, for the SECW teams, with the Alabama game completely removed from all schedules. I was actually surprised. The overtime numbers were removed from the LSU/a&m game.
LSU obviously also played the toughest competition of any of these teams, given that they played the top 2 SECE teams.
Changes will be made, I'm sure, but considering that LSU lost 3 starting OL to graduation/early departure, 1 starter to suspension, and the remaining returning starter was hurt and inneffective most of year. In addition, they lost their #1 TE before the season, had zero productivity returning in scoring, with wrs that saw its most talented players as TF, and rbs that scared no one, a QB that has never started and had been on campus a short time, a new OL coach, and a new OC. On top of that no stability in the OL with lots of injuries.
No doubt the offense was inconsistent, as expected, but there were flashes where it was good. I think with continuity you will see this offense improve greatly. Keep in mind, the offense did score 4th quarter TDS to take the lead in their two road losses, but the defense couldn't hold the lead.

Good job. The negas will be here shortly to shite all over your work and let you know how much better Les Miles was at everything but deserved to be fired.

Can we remove Alabama from the schedule? Sure would make the season look better. C'mon this is pitiful. Just do what Bill Parcells used to say, throw out your best game and your worst game, and what's left is what you are.

Did you take out all overtime scores?
I'm not an Ensminger hater but it would be fair to take out those scores since it was 2 - 3 games worth of offense in one game.

Yes he did.

I only took out the overtime scores for lsu and a&m.
To the other poster that questioned removing Alabama, it was done because many on here argued that LSU was pathetic in all games, not just Bama. Most would think OM and a&m had better offenses, but the numbers here don't support that.
This wasn't to pump up E. I think some changes will be made, and should be, but rather it was to show that the grass isn't always greener.

Negas want some hot name. Its like the kid that needs the designer jeans for school. E has done a great job. People are bent out of shape for blanking against bama but college football is a game of matchups and LSU doesnt match up well against bama at key positions. Thats why we destroy Georgia but Georgia plays bama tough. Georgia simply matches up better to bama than they do to LSU at key positions.

The Bama game IS the measuring stick. We want to win championships not have bragging rights over other teams that had shitty seasons. Those stats aren’t going to comfort any fan who can see (without a box score) that there are problems on offense.
And for many on here “taking out the Bama game” to help sell your case only exacerbates the problem. Because the problem is that we are not competing against Bama; which means we are not competing for SEC championships, when we should be.

Taking out the bama game is just polishing the turd that was the LSU offense this season. Cole Tracy was the mvp of the offense

Instead of taking out the Bama game, remove the A&M game and see where we rank
If we are going to skew stats let’s do it both ways

I've been reading this board a good while now been, and a few things are clear. There is hardly ever real objectivity on here, except by posters with intellect. I see a lot of overemotional, low intelligence posters, with clear agendas. Speaking of which, chicken has a hell of an army working for him to keep it stirred up.

This was a stat based upon the thread the other day arguing about Greedy's comments regarding Bama. I think we all agree Bama is currently on a different level than the rest. Btw, I included only 31 points for each team in the a&m game...which wasn't our highest scoring sec game.
Honestly, did this make you mad posting something positive? It certainly appears that way. To me it is an objective look at all of the other West teams when excluding the clear #1. On top of that, lsu actually played two additional top defenses in GA and FL....no other team on this list did that.

I get called an O sycophant here constantly. I'm not even close to that. This team had fallen off more than people want to admit. In fact the biggest complainers will never admit it. They will post all kinds of useless information to bolster their arguments all the while ignoring the play on the field. They'll scream scheme when the tackles are getting beat almost every play. It's beyond me how anyone can come to the conclusions that they do.

No kidding there were problems on offense. Why do you think Vegas had us at 7-5? We had zero returning production, a new QB who was new to the team and had never started, a new OC, a new OL coach, and massive issues on the OL. Some of you think you can just flip a switch and be great. It takes time. I laugh when I hear some of the experts talk about OL doesn't matter, a good OC would just scheme around it. LOL. The problem is, as a defensive coach for many years, there is only so much an offense can do with a bad OL, and the defensive coaches know what that is and take it away. LSU could have destroyed Bama on the deep ball...it was there. The problem is bama knew lsu wouldn't have time. They simply took away the short pass.

Objective while removing a goose egg. Nice. Did you also take out defensive scores for all teams? Factor in field position?
This is a nice cherry picked stat that certain people will use to defend this year's offense

The warped way you view yourself is amazing.

Why would you take out the Bama game? I can understand taking out OT in the A&M game because the offense is basically gifted points with the current system.
Posted on 12/8/18 at 6:55 am to Tillmanscorner
To put it simply, when the defense gave up more than 21 points we lost. The offense couldn't score.

You just knew some geniuses were going to come out defending the offense after playing a terrible Rice defense and a 7OT game.
And of course it's some obvious alter with 6 posts

Honestly ben, a lot are just part of chickens army. There are a few genuinely miserable people that get upset when you post something positive, but for the most part it is pretty easy to pick out the army. I know someone involved...it is very real.
