Who would you have played at QB Roger?

Harris, who had started every game during the 2015 season and had been in the program for 3 seasons.

Etling, who hadn't played in a real game for damn near two full seasons, and had a back injury going into the Wisconsin game.

Or one of the sophomore or freshman QBs on the roster that had little to no real game experience.

Maybe stick to the only part of the game that was working

Instead of trying to force Harris to succeed?

Running game and defense were badass.

He threw 21 passes against Wisconsin. It was 1st and 15. You wanted Less to run the ball 3 times?

Here's a good unbiased read on that game

quote:

They were facing a Wisconsin club with a first-year starter at quarterback (who barely won the job in fall camp), a star running back coming off serious injury and an offensive line depleted when one of its stars was forced to quit football a few weeks back. Even if the game was in Wisconsin, there was no tangible reason for LSU to lose this game, only they did. And once again, the clock appears to be ticking for Miles in Baton Rouge.

quote:

Virtually all of those problems came on the offensive side of the ball, where unfortunately it was business as usual for the Tigers. The play-calling was predictable, but the execution was even worse. In total, the Tigers finished with just 257 yards of total offense. A depleted Badgers’ club, going against a better defense, put up over 350.

quote:

Watching, it seems like LSU has somehow regressed offensively, which is a considerable feat when you remember how abysmal they were down the stretch last year. This was a team that averaged just 16 points in their final four regular-season games against the best teams they faced all year. Don’t be fooled by the Tigers’ 32 point per game average in 2015; those numbers were basically empty calories,

quote:

Then again, it doesn’t help the run game when the passing game doesn’t look like it’s improved one bit from last year. It was the Tigers’ Achilles heel last season — and for many seasons, really — and what led to their demise late, when every defense keyed on Fournette and made Brandon Harris beat them.

Would you have had Harris throwing on first down with a chance to win the game?

I'll bet you would...

There was nothing wrong with the play called. Harris made a boneheaded play. Its the same type of play you gave O a pass for against UF in 2016 because" o didnt run the wrong way".Its amazing how you blame players for lack of offense under O but under Miles its all miles.
Youre just a hypocrite and anyone paying attention can see it.

So your QB who has already thrown a pick and almost another, is playing terrible, your in a position to win with a FG and you think it's a good play?

First and 15. You may have to throw the ball once.

At the 35 yard line, Fournette has just gained 15 yards on one run, you need to run clock and pick up 15 yards and you throw on first down?

Miles absolutely botched and mismanaged the end of that game. Did it again three weeks later

Wisconsin was a damn good football team in 2016. Lost 3 games that year to the number 2, 4 and 8th ranked teams when the games were played and each loss was by a touchdown.

And the 3 teams that beat them all finished the year in the top 10. And Wisconsin was ranked 9th in the final AP poll.

Losing that game sucked, but there's nothing to be ashamed about losing to the Badgers with the game being played in Wisconsin.

That's my opinion about it anyway.

Hey great comeback

When your running game works, you're already close to FG territory, you need to run clock, your QB is terrible...but you can win the game...

...you don't frickin throw the football on first down. That's retarded on any level of football.
