Little deceptive edit. He's planting his to wind up and throw. You can see Josh W. Knocked flat and a microsecond later the defender is on Nuss. Didn't have time to get it the wide ooen reciever.
We are definitely getting worse.

Ehhh. The screen shot doesn't really tell the full story. I just went and found the play and slowed it down half speed.
Situationally with 44 seconds left, you're looking to get a the ball down more down field to pick up a first and stop the clock. You're not out of the gate looking for a check down underneath. And that play happens fast. Based on the movement of his head, he's looking at Lacy first and then works to the middle. That's the point when the rush is coming from the edge, it looks like Williams is going to be beat wide so Nuss actually steps up in the pocket to avoid that pressure. But Williams readjusted to try to pick that guy up and his momentum in that direction helps that rusher pull Williams down in that direction, get back inside and Nuss steps right up into him.
That particular play, I'm not going to nit pick on him. He's on a read thats not Anderson. By the time he works to him, Williams has been beat, Nuss does what he's supposed to and steps up, just unfortunately the rusher was able to get back inside of Williams where Nuss had moved.

I coulda thrown it to Anderson. Too bad Anderson is so slow and plodding. A guy that could run may could’ve taken it a good ways
